We [ Kallstrom Sweet Corn ] , here in Eastern Washington also started working ground on March 11th 2024 . April 1st we will start planting early sweet corn under plastic , hope to have off before 4th of July . Did you know that that you can raise soil temp. [ your rows of seeding ] seeding rows , by tilting your ground towards sun ?

The technology allows you to till an area less than 8 inches, but most farmers keep the tilled width around 6 to 8 inches to loosen/aerate the soil for the corn root network.

Zn and P do not move in the soil. If you use a strip till rig these will be in the roots even when the surface is dry.
