This Feels Like The Orient Express// Have you ever dreamt of travelling with the Orient Express just like back in the day? I know, I have!! I found a much cheaper version here in North Wales. You can take the Welsh Highland Railway and book a beautiful steam train ride from Porthmadog to Caernafon. It's so so gorgeous and you can take in all of beautiful Snowdonia!
Going to Caernafon takes about 2 hours 20 minutes plus the return so there's plenty of time to enjoy. You can even pre-book afternoon tea if you fancy that. You have 2 options for bookings: Either travel third class and visit the website to book your online tickets: www.festrail.co.uk/tickets.htm
Or if you want to have some luxury, book your ticket for the Pullman carriage like we did. For bookings, you have to call
01766/516024. It's super easy.
Sadly we didn't make it to Caernafon as there was a problem with the engine and they needed to send for a rescue engine but luckily we enjoyed 2/3 of the ride and would do it all over again. It's absolutely wonderful!x

One of my most favourite things to do is ride the rails in England. Your husband is too funny. Love your videos Kirsten. Glad to see there's still some older ones I haven't viewed yet.

In America, our trains (Amtrak) must second to freight so you will always have a wait, but if you know that ahead of time and allow for extra time to your destinations-it is great fun! I love trains! Can't wait to look into the Welsh Highland Railway. Thank you for the video!

What a beautiful train and those carriages are just like the Orient Express. You can book onto the Belmond British Pullman for a day out and you get breakfast when you set off and a wonderful dinner as you return. It’s a lovely day out for a special occasion. I loved your outfit, it was a heart choice. Thanks for sharing.

I love the fun times you two have....made the videos even better. At least you were stuck in a place that had some beauty to look at. No Murders and good thing...Poirot was not on board.

That look like fun. At least when you were stuck it wasn’t in a snow drift like Poirot. What a cute way to get the feel of the orient express without the high cost and murder.

Kristin you look so lovely! The only time I really dress up is Sunday’s for church. Otherwise I wear capris and blouses for the hot humid weather in Florida!! 🌞 You inspire me to dress up more! Although I always do my hair, make up and lipstick.
