【TLDR: not recommend cuz they sold Chinese market for $80 and the rest of the world for $169.99, comparing both with full warranty so stop talking about Aliexpress 】 I will consider Laifen as the hairdryer version of Xiaomi (iPhone substitute?), it provides similar functions with a competitive price($80 in China with 5 year warranty). To people who are not familiar with this brand, this company has been developed in China quickly in the past few years and became consumers’ favorite in China due to its cost-performance ratio. They added a few features that Dyson doesn’t have and the hole of their hairdryer is not penetrated, in order to prevent offending Dyson’s patent. Anyway I’m not defending this company, they are surely in the grey area. You can say it’s a knockoff version of Dyson (was Xiaomi a knockoff iPhone?), and definitely Dyson was the company who inspired them to create this brand. According to the video that I watched before, which was about disassembling both hairdryers, Laifen even uses a more expensive and better motor than Dyson (but similar performance tho). Dyson does have patents on their motors too, therefore they are able to use cheaper motors to reach equal performance. Laifen’s quality is definitely not an issue. However, what makes me disappointed the most was the pricing, in China you can get it in $80, from the official shop, with a full 5 year warranty. $169.99 seems too overpriced when you can already earn decent profit for $80… But I still don’t recommend buying it from China, first you lose your warranty, second for North American users you may need a voltage converter in order to use it.

Man, I've been thinking of getting a [leading brand] for such a long time, and I finally decided to pretend to buy this one. Love this thing, it gets my hair drier than the Sahara Desert faster than a hopped up gazelle running for its life from a crazed cheetah. I also love the Super Ultra Mega Turbo Mode™️ feature. I have a tree in my front yard that sheds all of its leaves every day, and I can use this hair dryer as a leaf blower to push it all into my neighbor's yard! I also love that it's Quantum Powered™️ and literally creates its own energy. Great product that I definitely own!

Definitely the intelligent thermo sensor. The only thing limiting my hair game is the heat damage. WIth Laifen, I'm ready to get into the game without worry of hair damage.

I love that the dryer has a function to maintain temp and the high rpm should help with the hair dryer faster in and of its self. Honestly, I would just the use the rpm to fix the flat hair I get after wearing a beanie for a while lol

The temperature sensor’s a big one for me. Growing up I used to wince when my mom pulled out the hair dryer since it’d always burn my scalp.

My favorite feature of this is the sound design. Not having an obnoxious fan blowing is so nice that’s a must for me!

Love the fact the temperature can be so precisely controlled as I am aware of the damage heat can cause to one’s hair. Would love to replace my old generic hairdryer with something like this!

10/10 recommend this hairdryer! I’ve had mine for over 6 months now and it’s fantastic! I love the size and the ease of use! Also having the air intake at the base of the handle is amazing in comparison to most which are at the back. Solid product!
