A Strat you can use in the game is to not evolve any symptoms until you have infected everyone. Then evolve everything. When something randomly mutates or you mutate it you can get a refund of 2 points, this can be used to make sure that you bacteria is not discovered because it randomly mutated. If you are playing on virus mode you can not get refunds though. Also you can pause the game by pressing spacebar.

Tip: dont evolve symptoms early because they will notice. For me i would wait until everyones infected and evolve syptoms

I’ve never been able to play this game, but due to watching many Pravus Gaming videos about it, I know a few tricks. -You can pause the game to pop the bubbles if they’re too fast for you. -Genetic reshuffles are supposed to be used when there is already cure progress to destroy a bit and set the percent back. -You should go for infectivity early on, and once everyone is infected, that’s when you should start racking up the lethality. If you mutate a symptom with lethality too early on, you should devolve it. -Going for severity early on will make it more likely that you’re discovered. -If you’re worried about killing too fast before everyone is infected, go down the rash path to get to necrosis. Necrosis allowed dead bodies to continue infecting. However, it’s still a good idea to hold off on lethality. -Go for island nations as soon as possible.

That's indeed the strategy. If you make it severe, lethal and highly infectious, some states would shut down transport to prevent anyone entering the country and the infected would die without infecting the locked country. If it's highly infectious and not lethal or severe enough, it would not be much of a problem. If every humans are infected, then you make it lethal.
