Being around plants & taking care of them is such a pleasure! I've also started gardening a year back & it has been such a satisfying journey. The harvest we get from our plants is the most beautiful feeling ever. I've now started growing veggies in my homegarden. Growing tomatoes, chillies, curry leaves & mint. Can't wait to try growing cucumber for the first time this summer.😌

Impressive! As an avid gardener who loves growing tropical and subtropical medicinal plants and fruit trees in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US, I admire Sakshi Ji's collection of rare plants in her oasis, Junglevase. However, besides their rarity and collectibility what value do they have? Using coconut shell as a container is nice. Coconut husk or cocoa peat is an excellent growing medium to start seedling as well as a hydroponic starter. We also use it for soil amendment for established plants, especially in container gardening. In the US, we pay handsome price for the cocoa peat imported from India and the Caribbean islands. Incidentally, red ants can be repelled in an environmentally safe manner by using the "Good Earth" vis a vis Silicon Dioxide or Diatomaceous earth, glass cleaner and liquid detergent, ground black or red pepper, peppermint, tea tree oil, lemon eucalyptus oil, oil of lemon eucalyptus (OLE) , white vinegar, or Borax.

Appreciate her effort but the rare plants that she named are wildly available in northeaster regions of India which she imported from outside.

I grew ashoka trees, n other fruit trees n beautiful smelling flower trees, but our neighbors are disturbed , n complained to me that because of my plants more mosquitoes are coming to their house . One day their old mother in law n 2 daughters in law came n fought with me telling me to cut down the 2 ashoka trees growing in front of my house inside our boundary wall caring the main road. They said because of my trees fire will spark n they're house will get burnt 🤔 I told them our tree is short 7ft n we always trim them .. still she told us to cut down the whole tree. Anyways the eletricity pole is soo high up n our tree is no more , still fire sparking comes from their wire due to some malfunction . So is it still because of our tree? N I've never seen such big butterflies that fits my whole palm .. more butterflies came during lockdown .... maybe God is stopping time and reviving the nature .
