As I was gently stroking the keys of the piano, trying to remember A forgotten music, an old Grumpy man in his late 60s requested a special music to be played. Before I could hit any key, a lovely modern lady came to me asking if she could play it with me. She has a flute with her. I nodded and we started the music. As soon as the song stretched among the crowds every person have eyes on us. A little kid gently stroking his fell aslept father to have him listen this invisible artistry. Among the ladies and gentlemen there was an old classical Parisian women simply nodding in the most elegant way. As the music goes on the Grumpy Old man was not Grumpy at all he smiled and hummed. Probably one of the finest moments of his life.❤❤❤❤

Rather, yes. My older brother played the flute from 5th grade through all of high school (his godmother was a professional flautist). Because we moved to an area of the country when he was in 8th grade where music started later, he basically showed up to music class and was first chair until he graduated.

As a professional flautist of more than 30 years, I can tell you she sounds wonderful. Almost hard to believe given the background noise and competition for volume with the piano… Now, she also has to have serious upper lip and ‘frown muscles.’ Her cut, projection, color, and control for phrasing and articulation is very very good. Lots of Bach and Tauffnel & Gaubert, Trevor Wye, Im sure. Pleasure!

I'm 74 and grew up on such beautiful sounds. Now I live in northern Ontario Canada and other than a 300 mile trip to the city I seldom get to hear such a live performance. I offten play Stravinskys Firebird Suite performed by the channel 9 orchestra "65 years ago"and few if any know it.We have no culture for the children other than yogut Thank you. God bless.

Just listen to the how piano sounds before/after they start playing, and look also a the (lack of) synchronization between her breathing and the sound, which isn't super-obvious but can be seen here and there.

Fantastic technique from the flutist. The doubling of the trills could considered showing off, but her precision makes it all work. Her flute dances right through the piece. Brilliant. Who is she? Part 2, please.

I’m a flute player and I can barely get past the first few phrases in this song without messing up a rhythm or playing a wrong note and making a bad sound so this girl is actually incredible❤

This was beautiful & reminded me of my mom. When the pianist knows how to give the gift of accompanying another musician so their instrument & talent shines. Excellent accompanists are intuitive. ❤️
