Bearded Brad... the best place to hook a MEGA tarpon is at Melbourne Beach during the mullet run in the second week of October. 80# flouro with a dead or alive finger mullet in the surf works, just pray that circle hook gets them in the right place. Brant drove to Sebastian Inlet last year not realizing he left trophies north of there to head back west.

Great video Looked like a lot of excitement going on the pier, even a pole in the water swimming with a shark. Your reel was screaming at one point with that JACK. GOOD STUFF!

Me and my daughter will be coming to gulf shores on the 18th and 19th. We would love to be able to meet up with you. We plan on trying the gulf shore pier and maybe the surf.

I use to fish off the gulf shores pier all the time when I lived down there. Never got a opportunity to catch a tarpon. My buddy growing up had a house on crystal river Florida and we use to catch them there all the time. Harder to get that opportunity in gulf shores. Would be cool to catch one there though.

Nice fish. I was in Padre Island Texas last week and caught some Specs, Sand Trout and Whiting but the Sea Weed Blooms where hard to manage. Mother Nature is so unpredictable. Do you have problem with Sea Weed in Florida??

@@BeardedBrad92 Right on man I try to get out as much as I can weather I hit up a road side pond on a back road on the way home from work for some early morning bass .... or make a 40 min drive down to the Charlotte Harbor area or west over to the Anna Maria or Longboat Key for some over night snook action. I like the redfish content in your videos and would love to catch a few more in this area keep em coming & 🐟 fish on.

Wire is only useful if you’re fishing for toothy critters like king mackerel or sharks most of our other pier fish don’t have crazy teeth

What pound test do you recommend for Kings off the pier? I live 5 minutes from Navarre pier.

20 pound test will get it done, but your reel needs to hold 250 yards of it.
