Look how beautiful this game is man. The darkness and gritty nature of the setting, the way you can out play someone, the way you can punish a poorly time wall bounce instead of people on single stick bouncing off a million walls like a dumbass, strafing > wall bouncing, there’s literally a clutch factor. This is the best gears hands down.

Ong the graphics had a dark, gloomy, doomed feeling to it that immersed you in the gameplay a made u feel like u were right there with the characters. The story mode felt like a horror film or a nightmare. The new gears look cartoonish with bright vivid colors, and a light-hearted storymode makes me feel like im watching an Avengers movie.

@@ibrahimconteh7843 bro facts! The dark gritty nature of it is what sucked me in (pause). The horror side of it was the best bit. The kryll levels were unreal. Baird was funny enough, he had witty humour, we don’t need every character having that’s shit. Gears 2 was similar and the brothers to the end DLC was incredible. The new gears online and story really are nowhere near what gears of war is imo.

@Messi-Only sorry but 2 was awful. Movement was worse. Hammerburst was way too OP. Stopping power was soooo trash. 1 is the best and always will be. I played 1 literally everyday and when 2 came out I just stopped. Hated it.

Couldn’t agree more. Lived on this for a couple of years. I played Warzone though. Raven Down 19-2 was the game type. Pure shotty map. Gammertag was Sho7gunx, Was in the top 100 until the boards got hacked. Currently 104 all time.

This game was perfect because it didn't have any map cameras or ghost cameras. If you die you only see what your teammates see, and that's how it should be.

@@DARKMADNESS666 No, but host was really cheap. In my opinion, it was the limited movement and the ability to be sneaky that made the first one great. Plus, flanking wasn't ruined by loud ass footsteps.

Everything about this game is difficult. You know someone's awful at gears 1 pretty much instantly, aiming is hard, moving is hard. But it's still a blast, the game is so gritty yet so lightweight compared to these bloated games we have nowadays that spam all sorts of information at you with medals and radio chatter. Gears 1 doesn't even show you the score on the HUD, just your ammo and that's it. Loved this game. Tho i do think the one shot longshot downs were excessive..

You can hold the Y button to direct the camera to your nearest teammate. Good if there's only 2 of you left. They don't need to be downed.

I have no idea how to use the sniper in this game btw, there's too much 'magic' involved with how the actual hitboxes are and where the actual players are. I originally thought it was lag but it turns out it seems to be more rooted in the actual game itself.

It’s crazy to hear how y’all talk, makes me feel old (30) gears 1 had a charm and a skill level like no other game, played 2, and 3 heard others after sucked, I was a sniper back then, blinds fires across the map, 1v1 snipe fights to win the round, most of the time I’d dominate a normal player, but I wasn’t no like butter or ice man, probably don’t know what I’m talking about, any way would pick up the snipe every round and do work, long time ago… the way the sniper worked essentially was one you had to account for “lag” shot registration as you said built into the game, and 2 you had to put their head in the middle of the screen you do both, 8 times out of 10 the shot will go where you want to go, whether you hard aim, quick aim (pop shot) quick scope (zoomer) or whatever, you’ll hear that oh so satisfying sound.

@@EA_SP0RTCENTERits “flaws” was its charm, sure getting stuck on walls, and super jumping to get out of maps using the hammer and stuff was buggy, host was annoying, but the only thing that felt off a lot of times was the shotgun, everything else felt great, if you studied and had skill you would dominate.

I'm about to get a 360 just for this game. This was my favorite game for such a long time an all the sequels were worse than the first. I think it's bc you could wall bounce but it slows u down after the 2nd bounce so you had to play slower an shoot more accurately

the shots are from the hip with shotgun, in ue it was the center of the screen, but ya i just loved the maps characters and how to play the scenarios etc. I been playing it and have loads of fun even when I lose its still fun. the connection is normally not the greatest in rank but its whatever. I like that the game skill based. pretty sure strive was host that 2nd game as well as you said you found the game quick and i think he was playin with vape and liquid. idk how that zeta guy is i saw someone else named zeta who was streaming 1 but idk if thats the same person

I never stop playing Gow 1 all this time greater Hero and Zeta i been playing for months there good players, before the servers were back up the only way you can find a match. You would have to go to your recent players list, and if anybody was on you would join session in progress.

I really hope the community still keeps Gears 1 alive once the servers go down, we can still keep this running somebody host and you join whoever is on your players or recent players list, if theres spots open, it’s been on my wish list forever to get good players back on this game. I’m from the ranked raven down 19 round days. There’s still a small community. We never stopped playing this game even though I still play the new gen Gears. Whoever is down to play this, even when the servers down and to increase this community hmu xchozenx

After watching the last video I had the desire to try go old school and downloaded GoW2 and get on mp. Not only could I not find a match, but I could not get used to the clunkiness of the controls. So I deleted it and downloaded GoW3. Even though I didn’t do as well as others I had a blast. The most fun I had playing a gears game in a long time. But how the hell do you wallbounce in that game because I see some doing it so fast. Also the backA is slow as hell.

Zeta or Lui Lurkin and some from that camp are def some of the best claw players and rodie runners in Gow 1 they been for the past few years. I know every good player that ever played gow 1 and the best people till this day, Zeta always eats even in UE lol

Bro I was only 7 when this game came out, but I was sooooo good for my age used to do game battles with my brother, and I remember all of the 1v1 sniper canal fights, or the 4v4 on depot. Man the best days of gaming for me. I even dotted my tv, and I remember 1v1ing an old player named milkbone if you remember him, and I fucking lost to him by 1 round. Fuck I miss it. Also what sets this game apart, aside from the grittiness of it is the fucking rag dolls! You could curb stomp someone and kick them across the map if you moved during it right 😂

Love the og gears1 content . one of the most skillful gears. None of that aimless bouncing with the fancy paddles. Here you actually get punished for making a wrong move. TC took gears in a bad direction trying to appeal to new fans . Shouldve stuck to the roots .

Yeah watched you on another guy's channel getting smashed on gears 1. Definitely not your strongest game. Some people are good at a few gears games, some are beasts at all of them. This and gears 2 are the most skill based. Gears 3 is too but rifles started getting more op. And sawed off is just a dumb concept. Because it helped weak players 1 shot instead of them learning how to utilize the gnasher. And this and 2 was more realistic movement before all the gears 4 and 5 ice-skating.

This is why I laugh when these kids think they are good at GOW now. The game is so much easier. Anybody can be good now. Back in these times, it took actual Iq , strategy, and was completely skill based. Now, mtfks just play for a chunk or a one-shot, lmao. Gears definitely ain't Gears Of War. 💯
