This kind of again showcase that high level duel is all about timing and stamina management. You can see the guy play bit more cautious as the match went on but he throw out way too much heavy and feint that are so predictable its just a waste on his stamina so he get disarmed almost every fight. Dane axe is a terrible match up against Halberd anyways, a good match up with Halberd is a weapon that has reliable stab counter, a longer counter window to match that of Halberds, and preferably long reach, Dane axe is kind of neither. Not to say you can't be good with Dane axe at duel, but you have to play very differently that what he was doing. Fought with a few top players with Dane axe, it's just a ton of footwork, and quick overhead accel in succession with kicks throw in there. Dane axe is really good at fellow up attack, most players would panic when they get hit with dane axe which they go to block almost immediately, so a good duelist with dane axe want to keep you on your toes and let you remain in neutral stance which means you cant' react from a defense state and throw out counters as quick as they can throw out attacks. Then finally, Rapier is a weapon that has a high skill ceiling and a skill floor, clearly he hasn't used rapier much and it's just silly of him to try to use rapier against your rapier.

Tbh the best way to use a Dane Axe is not even on repetitive overheads...when he had to slash it, wasn't even using his body positioning right...people really underestimate the power of dodging continuously out of sight. It's troublesome to keep stanima going but doing the long game with a Dane Axe one is bound to lose.

Basically they are a group of people without lands that invade/ocuppy (there's a lot of debate around that) lands that they consider socially useless, mainly farms. I won't detail about it here because it would take a while to write all of the things about MST. It's the only meaning i know and found of the term.

People that main Dane Axe should just stick to what they know. It's not a great 1v1 duel weapon, but it's better to stick with your comfort pick than try to impress with something you're worse with. Him trying to play something else just because Ziggy calls Dane Axe players newbs shouldn't have stopped him tbh, since he already was shit talking.
