Rakcham is a hidden Paradise in Sangla Valley, Himachal Pradesh on the bank of river Baspa. Located between Sangla and Chitkul, Rakcham is the second last village from the border of Tibet. You may have never heard of it like most other people, but this relatively unknown destination is a must for all offbeat holidays in Himachal. With a sparse population of only 800 inhabitants, the sense of relaxation and serenity experienced in this part of Kinnaur district is unbeatable.

After a back breaking journey of 12 hours from Shimla, we arrived at this beautiful property located in village Rakcham. Set in the valley with a lush green backyard looking at the hill, the location is secluded, quiet and a perfect place to rejuvenate our senses. The bird’s eyes view of an absolutely spectacular view of the entire valley with the Baspa river running wild, apple orchards all along the mountain slopes, dense forest with alpine and coniferous trees and towering snow-capped Himalayan peaks are a sight to behold. The moment we set eyes on this place, we fell in love with the warmth, the aesthetics, the serenity, and the magnificent nature surrounding this place.

Another beautiful gem of a place and treasure of simple, grounded and nicest people found by Abhishek and TUS. The most epic thing said so casually, like the way of life on Loneliness v/s Solitude was icing on the cake. And the way, you take us around these places, capturing smallest details, the way people live their day to day life..the knowledge, hardwork…and still happy and content. The camera movement on the path with white blue stones was very nice. Superb show ..Amazing work Abhishek, Shiv & the team🤗🤗🤗..keep going strong TUS😊👍

It’s not the solution. Instead of running to mountains and destroying things there too, try raising forest and trees in your cities. Do form groups who could spread awareness of global warming and pollution, eco friendly construction and dedicated weekends of eco restoration programme. Nahin o ye desh aeyyashon ke Karan barbaad ho jayega. Due to tourism mindless construction in mountains is happening destroying forests and mountains.. and even mountains have lost glaciers now and every year now face floods and forest fires. Discourage tourism for better earth.
