The way goodreads choice clearly created the romantasy category so that this book could win without ruining the fantasy category

FINALLY. Finally I see someone talking about the danger & dying part in this book without making a half an hour lang video on it. Yes, it's effin ridiculous knowing you could die so quickly and yet being so fine with it. Not read the book, and not going to read it. Just looking for the right type of rant that suits me ^^. I don't even mind some of the cliches used in the book. What really bothers me is how poorly they were used. The government conspiracy, for instance, is something that I usually like. Fullmetal Alchemist does it very well as does One Piece. The difference between those stories and this one, though, is that Amestris and the World Government not only have actual reasons to go through with their conspiracies, but reasons to keep them hidden. Navarre has neither. In fact, Navarre actually has every reason to use Venin as a propaganda tool rather than keep their existence hidden (or they would if they were actually a COMPETENT fascist government). It ends up being a conspiracy just for the sake of having one and pretending there's more depth to the plot than there really is.

Im in a book club on Facebook I've seen alot of love and alot of criticism for the book some people even taking the book off their to be read after finding out what's in the book

You know how in the music industry there are times when you can find so called industry plants? I am not a 100% certain, but its just smells like these new YA novels are exactly that.

The Fourth Wing was not a well-written book at all, but I couldn't put it down! It was a quick, fun read! I now want my own telepathic dragon 😂. Iron Flame was not nearly as good. For comparison, Robin Hobb and Guy Gavriel Kay are two of my favorite fantasy authors. I disliked The Blade Itself as it had no plot. Complex world building which requires a companion book to keep up with the characters is totally not my cup of tea.

I read the sequel to the book and I can confirm that it is the worst thing I read and I DNFed it. Don't make the same mistakes as I did 🙃

Pick this book up because it has a record breaking rating on both Amazon and Goodreads. The main character is so bland. The story is just a rip off of other fantasy books. I don't know how this book got such a high rating. DNF, only got about a third of the way through before I couldn't take it anymore. I have not came across any KZfaq videos that praises this book.

I was going to say this book sounds like Harry Potter what with its shit world building, trash romance, and crazy success but I see that it is actually worse. At least HP had parts that were good and entertaining. This one just sounds awful.
