In this video Andy takes you on a tour of Matt's heavily modified 1990's Holden Commodore VS before taking it out on a drive. He reviews the car and shows you exactly why this car is in fact faster than a Ferrari.
First Matt surprises Andy with his newly purchased Holden Commodore VS when he was expecting to review a Holden VK Calais. Next Matt gives Andy a tour of the car including all of its interesting quirks and outrageous modifications, before the two take the car out for a drive.
Under the bonnet the VS Commodores V6 has been "heavily modified" with an additional 2 cylinders, new internals, fuel system, cooling system, and NOS. Yes, this car has a Nitros Oxide System...
During the drive they show off the Holdens mind bending performance and "unique handling characteristics" before hearing the cars outrageous exhaust note!
Matt shares his reason for purchasing the car as well as explaining why he loves Holden Commodores. Andy has his own thoughts about the car as he prefers European cars. Together they talk about the state of car culture and how everyone can enjoy cars no matter their personal preference.

The VS Commodore rolled out of GM Holden down under with a 5 litre V8 @165kW and the venerable L67 SC V6 @179kW... true factory sleepers.

I'm Asian and live in the states and own a Chevrolet ss basically a Vf Commodore. Fully converted to a Holden and built forged motor and turbo and making 1300+hp. I'm Holden for life.

They had a “Ecotec” vs’s never had a alloy tec. Alloy tecs weren’t introduced until the vz commodore.

Standard, they were true factory sleepers with the 5 litre Aussie V8 or the L67 supercharged Ecotec V6 based on the Ecotec L36 V6 which was no slouch either.
