Jujutsu is 100% a anime that should have a more dedicated fighting game, shit gets hella complex later on in terms of fight

Sad part is, a lot of characters do really have unique mechanics in the game, my favorite is Okkotsu summoning Rika, which gives him basically free counters when hit + unlimited cursed energy and a literal TOD ultimate, but only if your team loses "lives". Some other minor ones are Toge having to drink cough medicine if he uses enough attacks, Panda getting super armor in Gorilla mode or Nanami buffing his ass up in the last minute or so of the game because he hates overtime (among other characters) When the game was announced, i thought "Meh, another Storm-like game", whish it could be closer to that.

The craziest part about this game's story mode is that it's a bunch of still images from the anime, while any single person that would even consider buying this game would be a fan of the anime... meaning that they'd have seen all of it in motion, making the story mode "cutscenes" entirely redundant.

The fun thing is this is literally not the first time Bandai Namco did something like this. Whenever they are not making anything decent they just spew out anime shovelware and if you know the Japanese gaming community enough you will find out that they are very infamous for this. The last time I am aware, there was a Kamen Rider figure game on Wii U that was blatantly P2W and very not-Kamen Rider.

Why does every game that actually gets permission by a media franchise to make the game suck, and when it’s a fan project made by just some ordinary fans end up being a pleasing experience. This feels weird.

The sad part about this game is that all the characters play different form each other, making it actually fun to play different characters. If the devs put time into the game and didn't make it feel like a slow, clunky mess then the game would've been really good. If you look at some of the ultimate animations, they are the goofiest, jankiest animations in the game, while some are lacklustre, like Megumis. We just gotta beg the next game will be better.

ive worked in sound design for games, not in many years but i used to. . not even kidding i think literally 90-95% of every sound effect here is a stock, royalty free sound effect. Every melee weapon is pulled from one of the most popular free soundbanks. . shits fine for smaller games i guess, but these sound effects are *15+* years old. Theres no reason to still use them and it makes shit sound so cheap

It needs a serious update, the biggest problems for me just based off the campaign, the camera and lock on is very clunky, the hit boxes are too small or the melee attack range is too small, when a enemy is dashing you can’t touch them but if you’re dashing they can hit you, the hud is too big it covers too much of the screen and you can’t turn it off in the settings, the delay for getting up after your character gets knocked down is too long, you can’t change the direction of your attacks but the ai can? You can’t cancel attacks to evade, evading is pretty much useless though since the enemy attack range is wider for some reason, blocking does little to nothing half the time because once they break your guard after 3-4 hits you’re stuck in a combo till they launch you into the stratosphere, the slideshow cutscenes for 90 percent of the story mode is something I could’ve overlooked if they put more effort into the actual game. I really hope they update the hell out of it otherwise it’s just such a wasted opportunity.

They couldn't even try to copy storm. At least in demon slayer, they copied the cool interactive cutscense that makes you feel like you're playing the actual anime. This is just something I'd expect from a battlegrounds website. The game had potential, they just obviously didn't try.

It's always so strange to me how almost every shounen anime could make a complete slam dunk of a game, and it's not even hard to envision if you use some creativity. Why is Dragon Ball the only anime getting good games, when it's so easy to imagine a good Naruto or One Piece game. It's not like the production value would even be much higher either, they put so much effort into the Ninja Storm cutscenes and presentation, but when you actually pay the game it's literal a baby button masher. A good Naruto game would be so easy to envision.

As someone who pretty much exclusively plays on mouse and keyboard, it feels like sometime and somewhere these past 10 years they lost the manual of basic mouse and keyboard controls 101, and now game companies just don't know proper controls anymore. -Bunch of games don't have jump on the freakin' space bar anymore, -crouch is X, why X, it's placed weirdly, should be shift or control, -sprint is C or something, should also be shift or control, -Walk on Z, that's Alt -The use button on G or something, it's E for crying out loud -Switch weapon on R, that's Q, -Reloading on F, that's the freakin' R button -Flashlight on H, that's F -Or like selecting your inventory on Z, X, C and V, heck i've seen those on J, K, L and ;, yes the ";" button..... WHY NOT 1, 2, 3 AND 4 Horrible controls are the worst, every game i play i literally spent the first hour or so looking at controls cause it's so atrociously bad that it makes me think developers these days don't play on mouse and keyboard anymore. Japanese (and probably Chinese and Korean) companies are the worst offenders of this i do say.

I hate when games have it where the enemy you're fighting just talks down to you even when you're literally beating the shit out of them. I'd rather them just make the enemy do a scripted powerful move on you and then play a cutscene where they talk down to you. Hope the new dragon ball sparking zero game does that
