Wow, how time flies, it seems just a short while ago Blue Mickey was just a baby! How old is she right now? There is a lot of different opinions on how soon a horse should be started under saddle. I watch many people who will not put them under saddle until close to 4 yrs. Do all the ground work, manners, trailer training, standing for farrier work training, grooming training and whatever. I guess it depends on the hardiness of each horse, a DRAFT cross is going to be ready to be carrying a rider sooner than say a dainty Fox Trotter or some other breeds like Arabian. Blue Mickey is getting patient and loving training with this young lady. Guys may tend to be a bit tougher, so I like horses started with Female trainers and then move on to the guys.

Oh, Blue Mickey is looking gorgeous and doing well with her training. She reminds me so much of my very spirited but thoughtful blue roan/white Paint (Inkspots - registered name Warsaw) I had growing up. I love the way you network all of the good people you know and the opportunities you create. That usually works out well for you because you have to do what works for your family and farm but it is such a blessing and a path to success for those who’ve earned your trust. You will probably say that it’s part of your mission but you and your family truly live that mission and have fun doing it. It’s both inspiring and entertaining! Desensitizing a horse is so important! Loud, sudden noises can cause horses to bolt, like what happened recently in London with the King's Guard horses. You want to get your horses as bomb proof as possible. Blue Mickey is doing very well in her training. She has amazing potential! 💖💖💖
