While in Michigan last July, we had the wonderful opportunity to see the personal home garden of a very talented person, who wishes to remain private. This was an absolute treat for us as we aren't able to grown hydrangeas, and many of the shrubs in our growing zone of 9B in Tampa, FL. This moment was set up for us by Spring Meadows Nursery and Proven Winners for a Creator Retreat, and it's one we won't soon forget!

This enormous garden is a fluffy, fluffy, colorful world. Sited in my area, the deer would be so excited and sated. Thank you, owners and gardening team, for all the beauty, artistry and hard work. And thank you for sharing the glorious vision with us rather than keeping it to yourselves.

Just gorgeous! I'm lucky to live in MI during the summer months and FL in the winter. My MI garden is just lush with Hydrangeas, Hellobores, hostas etc and would love to grow in my FL yard. Yes, I have 2 climbing hydrangeas that are just gorgeous come June. Your plant selections for your yard is inspiring me to bring more of my cottage garden here to FL.

@@MrGardeners yes you do for many reason! It's so hot in FL during the summer months and we live on Lake Michigan which it's only about 80 degrees all summer and no humidity. Can't beat our summers.

Us too! We try to push the envelope with northern plants as much as we can, we just have to use them at different times of the year than northern gardeners do!

I grew up in an area where the street was lined with blue and purple hydrangeas. People in the neighbourhood used them as privacy fences around the front of the house. It was heavenly indeed, a memory that has stayed with me forever. Sadly, new people in the neighbourhood have built new homes and destroyed the beauty that once made this street so special.

I live in Sydney Australia our summer sun is brutal. I'am growing Hydrangea Oak leaf , Panicle and Aborescens and I'am finding it a bit tricky. Even on the side of the house in part shade my Annabelles still got burnt by the sun at midday.
