In this video we break out an oldy but a goody - Molten Earth! This is a fire hybrid melee build that, with the the right theory crafting, can be made into an absolute juggernaut of a DPS class and that is exactly what we try to accomplish in this video!
We're going to take this one all the way to the bank boys. We go from as measly +1 to the final end of the difficulty spectrum for the first time in League 3 - a +20! With Mythic 21-30 coming out today this was the perfect time to finally reach this level of content. But can we actually get an item worth using?

Lava lash is based of weapon damage. I am not sure that the 300ap proc is worth the difference of 2 mytic 20 weapons.

I kept that weapon set in classic despite having perdition's and core hound tooth. I only used them in low effort content. It's just so much fun.

@@nixice Its a cool set of weapons, its his content. This is to be taken as entertainment not cold hard tactics. He was pulling good dps but a few tweaks probably could make it better... But thats where making your own builds come in.

The item pool of Mythic chest is astronomical... Do raids. It's alot more focused loot.

Agreed. I’ve been farming +20s lately cus I enjoy them, but man a single H BWL run gave me more upgrades than hours of farming 20s did. Getting daggers on Str rolls is the bane of my existence

@@drewaskew6010 Try playing spirit casters/healers. M+ gear is so useless I have not opened a spirit chest for a while. Like MC Items can keep up with the new +30 loot. And if you got anything from bwl you can basicly forget about m+ as caster. There is like Idol of Rejuvenation for Nature hots builds. But do I want 500 bad items hoping to get 1 good one?

@@sadarot depends on the build tbh. raw overall stats i do understand raid is bether, but you can get more focused stats on m+ as for example more haste and more spirit.

Molten Earth definitely seems like one of the best REs for newer players due to lack of Epic REs that synergize with it but at the same time it doesn't need to. Pretty simple rotation too. Would love to see an epic Fire Nova RE one day (That isn't By Fire Be Purged if it's made into an ERE; would have strong utility for M+ though)

Glad you are having fun with Molten Earth! If you need a healer for M+ I've done 30 on Paczek. M+ certainly needs more attention. I find it much more impressive and rewarding clearing high level mythics over heroic and even Ascended raiding. 5 man is much more punishing that raiding. We have to exclude the elite crews that 3 chest 30s as they are a tiny percentage.

A quick thing to CoE Affix. It might look like a nerf. But with a bit of communication and a decend tank it speeds up your clears. The problem is, it forces your tank to play around the damage phases of your dps players. And your dps will need to use their cds on the right rotations. But with that you can do insane stuff. CoE week is the quickest one in terms of cleartimes. (Which makes it one of the only affix to allow you to clear faster compared to without it)

I do this enchant with fire mage/enhance talents, ignite works super well with all the fire damage. It's super strong AoE, I like taking dragons breath and the talent that makes fire damage lower the CD of dragosn breath + dragons breath making flamestrike instant cast. Does ridiculous amounts of damage, only issue is single target feels a bit weak, even with investing points in maelstrom weapon and fireball stuff.

I SEE YOU CLIPPING YOUR AUTO MELLE SWINGS.. and the base damage of your weapons blows .. the reason people use higher weapon damage is for the white hits which should be included in your calculations..... DONT CLIP YOUR AUTO SWINGS!! use a weapon swing timer!.. you are missing out on 40% of your damage.. its like a hunter that never lets its auto shot work.. will be a trash hunter. same thing with melee Dps.... Go ask around!

Yoooo my first character on ascension years ago was a fire enhancement shaman! So when league3 came out I made my fire sham with that molten fury but for my epics I'm using fire fire fireball and Boom! It's so much fun!

I have been playing ME on Area52, it is not the greatest specc (single target) but a very fun rotation that gives opportunity to tweak a lot. Hasty Lava Lash is very important to increase uptime of everything.

I feel the frustration over not winning the item man, I had that on my DK when playing WotLK. I always rolled like 50 max. I also started hating WoW generally for the random loots.

Honestly one of the most efficient and safe way to gear up with mythics imo is to just farm mythic+1 3 chests runs and recycle the gear for coins, then use coin to upgrade your mythic gear

What was killing you in those dungeons was not the Spawns, it's the AoE Void Portal that spawns from the champions and the Healer was just not able to keep you all topped.

Btw the CoE affix isnt random :) it's on a rotation and there is a WA for it and makes you pump waayyy hard. I'm doing a hybrid WR that does fire, frost, nature and physical damage and its OP for the affix. Love the video!!

This is the reason I despise M+ on ascension. The dungeons themselves can be really fun but gearing is absolutely awful. Terrible itemization and way to large of a pool to pull from, actually getting the pieces you need is nearly impossible without hours and hours of grinding when you can easily jump in a heroic bwl and get several upgrades from one run. I think going into tbc they need to seriously look at purging worthless items from the pool or something to make m+ gearing more viable

Here I am thinking m+ is the real end game because ascended raids aren't hard (at least not MC and ZG) I assumed they would make the progression reasonable because thats what I would do as a game designer. Boy was I wrong dude.

No I prefer a random element to the game but I don't believe it should be possible to get a perfect build. It's weird and too idealistic but when it happens, the game is just more fun.

The difference in gear doesn't really seem to be that much. Going from a blue Quagmirran's Eye to a Mythic 5 Quagmirran's Eye, you only gain 10sp and the spell haste rating only increases by 6... I mean... that sucks...

Doesn't make sense being disappointed your low to mid tier mythic plus drops are worse than heroic tier 2 items. You'd have to be consistently 2-3 chesting high mythic+'s to gear faster than just running normal, heroic, and ascended raids every lockout. The mythics are really just for trying to get those few specific pieces that when scaled to max ilvl beat out raid pieces of that slot due to special effects or specific stat distribution.

Probably but it would still need to do more, sadly. I'm very surprised that they never attempted to get a "support" archetype going in Ascension, even through legendary enchants, that's actually worth bringing for the buffs alone but falls incredibly short in the damage/healing department. I think the problem is that it would be very easy to balance in dungeons (just make their buffs roughly equivalent to bringing a 3rd dps?) but in raids it could be out of hand.

On Ascension wow you do raids for gear, and mythics for fun. 💁🏼‍♂️ Your might have some +30 bis slot items from mythics for some builds but the RNG + the sheer amount of useless items with really weird star weights just makes it bad for general progression.

I don't actually like being "famous" and don't want to feel it. I prefer being treated totally normal and you'd be surprised by how many people don't do that. To not be a hypocrite I have to feel the same for the good that I do for the bad so normally I name change to remain a regular player. Some of you add me in game so you can find me though. Edit: for example I don't want to be carried, I rarely take donations from viewers and I'd be good never getting any, and I don't want to be trolled (learned from streaming)

Yeah...M+ gearing is shit and has been shit since the start, even though more than 6 months has gone by. They never respond to requests for comment on the loot options. Many people have requested a weapon/accessory/armor and completed-dungeon/all selection options, and even increased mystic coins for higher + gear recycle, and all that is heard are crickets. I am stoked for TBC M+, but it will be playing the long game for upgrades if they continue with the loot as it is. Terrible pile of flaming shit.
