How to choose your partner 👫. 👭. 👬?
❤️ Healthy and conscious relationships require work, previous healing, and the knowledge that we are already complete as ourselves 🌱. But what does that really look like? Is it learning to self-soothe and feel safe in our own bodies? Is it developing a deep relationship with ourselves and getting to know our shadows 👻? In today's video, Sheleana Aiyana is a spiritual Counsellor, Author, and Founder of Rising Woman. Watch Vishen Lakhiani and Sheleana talk about the most exciting facts about conscious relationships and emotional healing: “Attachment is the foundation of relationships.” ✨
About Sheleana Aiyana
Sheleana Aiyana is the founder and visionary of Rising Woman, Conscious Relationship, and spiritual psychology writer. Her early childhood experiences of abandonment, trauma, and loss followed her throughout her early adult life until it all went south during her mid 20’s. Then, after a painful divorce, her awakening was catalyzed. All of the pain from her past was up for view. And thus, the journey began. Since then, she has engaged in years of training, plant-medicine ceremonies, breath work, shadow work, and inner-child work. Finally, in 2015, she slowly began to put the pieces together, and today, Rising Woman is a community of over 2.4 million and counting.

Hello Vishen and Sheleana, I really feel that The Universe has sent me this video in Divinely Perfect Timing Thank-you. Thank-you for being vulnerable enough to share your experiences with Dignity Sheleana. I have to say that I have come to the same conclusions down a totally different pathway, thank-you. I especially agree with you on the point that I don’t need to do Anything to meet my “Divinely Selected Soulmate”, he will just show u effortlessly when the timing is right. Thank-you so so much both of you. X 💖💗🌈💗💝X

I agree with Malcolm. My story would blow hers out of the water and also growth. I just also am aware that there is a billion other people that would blow my story out of the water and have grown from their stories these are inspiring stories but at the end of the day her seems like nothing compared to my past and it's not a competition but I know that I need to look towards people who had it worse than me so that mind doesn't feel as bad is very common everybody's dealing with the story and upbringing she had it's not unique at all great life lesson for the masses. But what about the kids that are adopted from Russia and hated by their parents controlled and manipulated their whole life and then get into a bunch of abusive relationships trapped in abusive houses for months on end... Is there a story for that

Great quote. I am shocked at how many people are critical in the comments. Each person's suffering is a personal journey. No room for comparisons or out traumaing each other. The beginning of healing is learning to love yourself and not judge and jump to conclusions. Everyone is on a path to healing, just at a different stage of the process. Reminding myself to go easy on myself and others really was the first step if healing.

We feel safe, the body feels open and relaxed in each other's presence, there is reciprocal flow of energy, we can have conversation, we share core values, we are both willing to know each other and have a relationship, we feel a sense of mutual love, trust and respect. Good indications.

This is a great comment, almost better than the coverage this topic gets in the video. It’s mentioned at around 23:00, in case anyone is looking for it in the video. (I had considered it deep and helpful advice on the topic, then couldn’t locate where in the video it had been discussed. I may actually be searching for a quote from another video, which went into more detail...)

I just got tired of being told no all the time and not having that effort, affection and love reciprocated. So I just gave up. Why struggle? Yes, it's been a very solitary existence, but I'm okay with that now. I make good company with myself. If you don't love yourself, what's the use of someone else loving you?

Try Robert Green, there are 3-4 excellent books, 48 laws of power among others, sometimes love/self-love is not enough, we need to understand how others work and rise above ... Being giving and too nice is a curse, nowadays even if i really want to be authentic and kind, i will hold back a little, just to see who i am dealing with before going all in. I made this mistake too many times in the past, gotta learn the lesson. And don’t ever give up.

This is so amazing and I really had to learn that I cannot be in relationship with a person who does not want to acknowledge their wounds and how toxic their behavior is. I desire a spiritually conscious relationship but have been choosing partners from a wounded mindset. However, it hurts to see how I was not inspiring to the person to grow but a new relationship the ex's life seems to be inspiring them to do the things I wanted so badly to have and do with them. Oh well, I guess I wasn't meant to be for them even with all the growth, healing, and development I did.

Did you communicate and actually try to help your ex become aware of his/her wounds? I was sort of in a similar situation but I became aware when my gf left me. I am now spiritually conscious. My ex never communicated effectively. I was aware I had wounds n I was trying to change but she chose to leave. No one is perfect but a trying person is everything and sometimes people need the help inno. And it takes 2 to tango, so the blame is not always on the ones who are wounded. My ex didnt see my worth she saw my wounds.... And now the person who sees my worth deserves the new me... so maybe your ex partner now sees their worth 😕
@nyssabloom3154
@nyssabloom3154 3 жыл бұрын
@@cedes868 In my case, yes I was very communicative about what I was observing. I didn't project or direct but would simply state how I felt as a response to some toxic behaviors. Sometimes they would take the time and think about what I said and come back to me with questions or understanding. I think those are the times that gave me hope that we could work on our unconscious wounds together. Btw, I am fully aware that I have unconscious wounds that had a part to play in the relationship and truthfully the person did use that as leverage to manipulate me in the end. Sometimes too much kindness is harmful and that has been my story for far too long. I am all about self-responsibility. Most often, though they were very reactionary and emotionally abusive. They lied, cheated, gaslighted, manipulated and I noticed after a while that it was not just me but everyone around them. I didn't want to give up on the connection because I could see straight through them and knew they were in agony using a false ego to fill a very big and understandable void. That's why I say I learned the lesson that you cannot be with a person who isn't willing to acknowledge their wounds in a real way. In your case, I think its amazing that you were putting in the work to make changes. Even when we make changes it doesn't guarantee that a relationship will stand the test of time. I believe this is because of growth levels, desire, and pretty much everything that Shay said. I am so grateful for her because I too had a very hard upbringing and it really is not common to grow into this type of awareness. I hope you don't stop undressing the old conditioning, hurts, and wounds because when you are on the other side you will feel so good that it won't matter if you have a partner or not. You will be living for yourself. Much love and light to you. :)

@@nyssabloom3154 I just got out of a similar situation. Confusing and heartbreaking to watch him have adopted new behaviors with a new person right after our split. Many times when we are wounded we can attract narcissists or emotional sociopaths. These people live in the false self and have intimate relationships to absorb positive character traits from others before the jig is up and they are revealed only to rdiscard their partners for "better"options. I have noticed so many Men are deeply insecure , wounded and don't have the capacity to have their ego exposed or challenged in any way by a woman without a fight. Ironically these types can be highly charismatic and sexual beings as these are their only survival skills. Modern evolved Women are very vocal and proactive in wanting to connect in a deep reciprocal relationship as well as grow, explore and improve the SELF together. Most Men are simply not wired for companionship that illicits ego death and they will reject and sometimes punish a woman that leads them down a path of self discovery. I think it all comes down to meeting people with similar awareness who want to out the work in and the manner in which we expose someone's weaknesses when they interfere. Once this happens the man reverts to a child who needs protection and if that child is confronted with an intellectual adult exposing them they will run away in shame. If they are angry then you are in for revenge in some cases mortal combat . If you observe on you tube you will find amazing channels on helping women elevate their relational consciouses but very few men creating these channels for men. Instead what we see is the rise of MGTOW as if men are now in a war of the sexes desperately trying to save their masculine self. No easy answers to this it seems. Until a paradigm shift happens across the sexes Women's choices will be to continue assention and learn to be happy alone or pick our battles wisely once your partner is exposed.

The first step for me was to accept the idea that I even need relationships. That I need to connect. Every person I am connecting to is a time to work on a relationship. I had to discover I was the person not willing to show up. Now I see I need to show up in all my relationships and see that mirror. My resent breakup showed me how unconscious I was functioning. Now, I am on the journey to know me...to turn to the internal. Thank you for this conversation.

Ton of resonances. Love the discussion. When we channel through words or movement or music or verse, we are " in touch with Spirit"; "energy is transmitted" through our work even via screen; when in trauma it is a beautiful survival mechanism to leave the body -- the " freeze" or "flight" mode. Hit home on a ton of levels. Love that it has been reiterated that healing is fundamentally related to how much we can be in our body. So invaluable this realization especially if we do meditative breathwork, or body-mind-spirit integration or other somatic work we can gather so many cues. Checks a ton of boxes for me.

Thank you so much Shay, you have such a beautiful, loving, soothing, warm and caring presence, I feel so at ease just watching and listening to you. This was such a powerful and inspiring interview, I resonated with everything you were sharing, especially the idea of BEing LOVE, which to me is living in the LOVEing. I haven't been in a relationship since 2003 when me and my wife separated. I've done a lot of healing over these years and it's just recently that I've wanted to experience a relationship again, my heart feels more open to allow LOVE in. I used to believe LOVE had strings attached, it seemed as if my past relationships were more of a "contract" instead of a beautiful experience of LOVE, growth and healing, which I now understand that's what a relationship is really about + the mirroring. After reading about attachment styles I realized that I had them all and they played out differently depending on the person I was with. Noticing my triggers and meanings I apply to what's happening has been very helpful in understanding what's really going on internally and where the upset is really coming from. You shared so many beautiful "golden nuggets" thank you for being so vulnerable and true and sharing what has helped you, I LOVE and appreciate you beautiful soul

25:51 Totally! This is my own attitude also. A way will be made for you to connect with your new partner. And for me, a way was made indeed! 👉Just keep on with following your interests as you wish and keep your attention engaged. The connection will happen effortlessly. Facebook is one example of how.

Nothing I could allowed in the way of havenly relationship which not maintain the holy spirit. I feel clearly that one may maintain it's spirit for whole universe. Vishen Lakhiani ji such type of personality. I feel his spiritual love senses for open to all universe. Any one may be clarified own consciousness. His presence like mirror of own mind . With his spirituality became a faithful bonding with my most important universe. As day by day going on time to end , in inner mind feel clearly a holy attraction to it . Except this unique and holy relationship there's nothing to realise about holy love . We could keep our own consciousness with this unique relationship. Thankfully want to give you a greatest congratulations to mind valley.

Great timing for this convo. We've been engaged for 7 months and she's pushing really hard to meet our marriage date. I'm sober 20 years now and she is not, the alcohol becomes a painful spott in the relationship. Unfortunately I am concerned about the future our of our relationship before even getting married. She says she'll stop drinking for me and I don't think she understands that while that sounds good, the reality is she is giving her power over to people such as myself in which I don't want to have that power over her. She has to decide for herself, it's obvious she doesn't want to stop drinking. We get nowhere in this discussion. All she wants is to be married... ugh a f help? Y'all have a hotline #! lol

Thank u so much! I literally liked everything she just said. I met a guy who i felt really safe with physically and emotionally. I felt oddly extremely comfortable with him without really knowing him that well. I haven't seen him for a while. There might be a chance that i could see him again. I realized that there are really high values to me that we do not share right now. My mind ran through it so much that it hurt. I had to admit that these 2 values were non-negotiable. It is hard because he is in my heart. Aside from that, the little that i observed, he and i have similar personalities and thinking processes that i think are very unique. I never experienced love from anyone, including myself, like i have experienced it from him. I learned that it is important to listen to myself with my beliefs and hear. I also realize that i have to allow this relationship a chance to blossom if he is also willing to work on the relationship. Jacob served many years for Rachel. I guess relationships are like that too.

Great content Shay! I have recently discovered your website and I’m learning so much about myself through your guidance… Thank you so much! My question is what do I do when the person I am trying to get to know first through friendship verbally says he agrees but his actions indicate he is in go fast mode?
@RisingWoman
@RisingWoman 3 жыл бұрын
Check-in verbally and communicate as directly as you can. “Hey, this is feeling a bit too fast for me. I’d love it if we could spend more time getting to know each other (in the ways you’d like - is it more convo, walks, day time dates, something else?)… how does that feel for you? Where are you at? What do you want? These are just examples but open and direct communication is the way. While there are opportunities for you to practice boundaries here, there’s also an opportunity to practice what I call relational negotiation - when there’s two people with needs and wants, the goal is for you both to hear each other out and negotiate your path together. Hope this helps and good for you for honouring yourself. ~ Shay

I love what Vishen does and he always speaks from his heart. Thank you, Vishen for doing what you doing with such love. In this particular conversation I was hooked by Sheleana's calmness and wisdom (it's not the knowledge, it's the wisdom that comes from experience) as Confucius once said: ---------------------------------------------------- "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." - Confucius ---------------------------------------------------- We don't go through all this for nothing and nothing happens by chance. We have to trust that higher power around us. ---------------------------------------------------- Man is never helped in his suffering by what he thinks for himself, but only by revelations of a wisdom greater than his own. It is this which lifts him out of his distress. 📖 Modern Man in Search of a Soul, Carl Jung ---------------------------------------------------- Also Sheleana Aiyana's words "…what happens in a trigger is that we immediately leave our bodies..." reminds me of a quote from Publilius Syrus which I even tried to visualize (that's why I put a link) ---------------------------------------------------- "When angry, a man has deserted his body." - Publilius Syrus 📷 facebook.com/soulwhisperart/posts/109356084596132 ---------------------------------------------------- These ancient words were spoken before Christ (BC) ... it seems that we have not evolved much like consciousness, do we?

I love this a lot. Except, I don’t agree that you can find love sitting on your couch especially in today’s world. This is how people stay single for years and years without putting themselves out there and practicing relating to others, thinking love is just going to come knock on the door without taking any action. The concept of “love will happen when it happens” and “it will find you” is too romanticized. I consider it very dangerous to stop relating to others and practicing connection for a long time without it having long term negative effects on the body and mind. Nowadays more than ever we need to be mindful to not fully disconnect from relationships. Not saying be a serial dater or chase love, but it definitely wont knock on your door while sitting on the couch. Everything else truly resonates.
