Remember - the 'intake chute' hidden in the hospital they fell into (designed to lure in post-apocalypse survivors looking for medical supplies) was built BEFORE the war. Which means this was *always* VaultTec's plan about how to get 'test subjects'. Even back during the ad that Cooper filmed at the start. That should be a big hint about VaultTec - 'one of the good vaults' indeed. That being said, 'The Trap' title isn't just referring to Maximus and Lucy. It's talking about the viewer as well. You'll see. 🙂 Side note - the survivors in the Vault are actually from Shady Sands and their children. It's only been a couple of decades, it happened when Maximus was a child. The New California Republic is a big deal in the games and that used to be their capital, so seeing it as a crater was a shock to game veterans. The music that plays when Lucy lifts the flag is the full rendition of the main Fallout theme in the games.

If it was just me and my dog, I'd feel the same. If I had an ultimatum though, I'm choosing my child over any dog (or any person really) any day.

Maximus "this is a cult" well Max the Brotherhood is one also. People with one eye, noses on forehead. In the vault commercial Cooper says vault fours purpose was to study the effects of radiation on human DNA. Shady Sands was nuked when Maximus was a kid, so the Shady sands people in vault four are survivors. IMO Moldaver is still around because of cryogenic suspension, it is a thing in the Fallout universe. She had the money to build her own vault and put herself in cryo. Just like the chambers on level twelve. Maxs caviar was just regular caviar.

This show has great writing and pacing. I hope they can keep up the level of quality for many more seasons to come.

Don't worry Ola... At the end of the season every piece of puzzle will fit together and you will understand everything...

When I hear you interpret some unsaid issues, I notice that we watch different series. I've played Fallout 1, 2, 3, New Vegas and a bit of 4 (but this one has the least Fallout in Fallout) and for me the phrase "in one of the good voults" is obvious. In each game you can find out what they really served. It's not always in the main mission, but if you pay attention to the details, it's quite obvious. Play the game, you can watch two more episodes of a good series with 9 stars out of 10, or play the game and these episodes will be 11 stars for you.

Fallout and it's universe are very much American, but that's how it's always been since it's sort of born out of our (American) Cold War mindset combined with ultra capitalism.
