He didn't create this mess with all these horrible choices involving Batfleck, Hack Snyder, Justice League, Ezra Miller, The Flash, Black Adam, Fantastic Beasts, Johnny Depp, Blue Beetle, Dune 1& 2, Batgirl, Furiosa, etc etc. All those horrible decisons were made Way before he got there. The description of the show can be summed up by saying “authenticity.” That’s why this show worked. Each of these gentlemen were allowed to be themselves. Sometimes watching other networks, you can tell that the commentators want to stay in good graces with certain players or certain franchises or are just saying things to not be super controversial, so you’re not really sure you’re getting the best commentary or analysis. Then, you have these personalities who just function off of being trolls and like to make ridiculous hot takes. The NBA on TNT didn’t do that. These were seasoned veterans who had the credentials in the NBA to speak on it at a high-level. Also, none of them are trying to preserve relationships with NBA players. They can say what they want to say without feeling like they’re not going to get invited to the next industry party. Therefore, you just had real genuine commentary. Put that with Ernie Johnson’s decades of being a true sports journalist and his Emmy award-winning career, and then this formula made this show Emmy award-winning as well. It’s going to be hard to replace them with a show equally as entertaining.

Technically, he could still do his commitments at TNT and do the show wherever it lands AS LONG as it's recorded in Atlanta. His life and career are deeply entwined there. He is not moving anywhere. They are making a mistake not taking care of those guys and letting the show run its course.

Those 4 guys just need to start their own NBA podcast, throw it up on KZfaq. Obviously the money would be different and their ability to have on scene coverage but it would still be wildly successful.

It needs to be said that Ernie Johnson practically raised/mentored all 3: Shaq, Kenny & Charles ON THAT SHOW. Shaq wanted to get into media but when on other shows you could not understand a god damn thing 💀 Charles was soft spoken on air for a good 3 years. Kenny had no direction in the beginning and would go of ranting too often. Ernie Johnson led that shit. I hope he was paid well

Inside the NBA and the crew at TNT was my favorite NBA broadcasting my whole life. I can’t see anything replacing it even if it were to organically come to a close.

The NBA has chosen money over quality product over and over again. This is just the latest decision in a trend going back years. 1. A lack of games on free OTA national broadcasting stations like the NFL. 2. Low quality League Pass streaming. 3. Placing playoff games on NBATV, which no one wants to pay for. 4. High ticket prices with stars that sit out for no reaason. 5. NBA2k is now the most exploitative videogame for money outside GTA. These things exist because the owners and commisioner want it. I think antagonizing the fans/consumers will backfire

The writing is on the wall. TVs more accessible than ever but only in 90 million homes out of almost 400 million people… an only a decade losing a a third almost of an already dead market. I’m glad honestly.

"Disney stronger than ever"? I love this channel, and I think you do a great job with accurate information. However, Disney is not stronger than ever lol. In fact, they are hemorrhaging a once devoted fan base/$$.

It’s sad because TNT is a business and i guess Inside the NBAs revenue doesn’t make sense when they have to pay double for NBA rights. Not sure how Amazon/NBC planing on using those NBA rights without these extremely popular shows and dwindling fanfare and ratings on the biggest stage.
