That was a funky log on the outside pretty nice lumber on the inside once a couple of layers were peeled off. That's like all of us. As you said, "Being different" there's beauty in almost everything, you just have to look for it. Thanks for the videos. They are often more than just sawing videos.

Hi Ed. Beautiful white pine lumber. I had a high school/ sophomore year of building a white pine coffee table. My mom & her boyfriend at the time. They wanted it. The lumber was 2--1/2 " by 12 inches by 8 feet long. Some of it had that " gray stains " on it. My 2 inch thick table top had those gray streaks. I did a natural colored stain. Then 3 coats of polyurethane. My design. I got graded an A on this project. 26:03 My mom & boyfriend ❤ it. It fit perfectly in thier living room/ apartment. However. You don't want " black stains." Sign of rotted wood. The lumber looks perfectly "kiln dry." It may need to dry a little. My late mom told me. Treat EVERYONE the " same way." No matter who they are. I ALWAYS have. Have a good Sunday Ed. Say Hi to Mark & ZZ. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌲

Good to see you back in the outer office again as your presence in the last couple of videos was sorely missed. The "difference" in this log was that of night and day, pun intended. The thing about being different is the one thing that makes us all the same. But it is not to be confused with being diametrically opposed which is another issue all together. Be safe, happy, healthy and above all be your own self.

Several of the first 8 boards could easily be made in a Bar,with some natural cut outs for bar tender,and on the customer side too. Please, I see boards like this often,and these are the 2nd best I've seen for a bar with natural cut outs

How are those stacking sticks made for air drying the lumber?
@TheEddie101417 күн бұрын
Mark makes them at his shop. Then they are planned to 3/4”. Then table saw to 1” wide then cut to 42” lengths. All the same. Thank you

Why can't you use the scraps from. The edging for stickers between the boards?
@TheEddie101416 күн бұрын
They’re not dry and you should never use your sticks green. They are too thick. Thank you
@mark606216 күн бұрын
I got this one Michael. You can use the scraps from the edger as stickers for wider boards, but the problem is they cause what is known as “sticker stain” across the drying boards as they are as wet as the boards you are trying to dry. We use dry hardwoods for stickers as T.H.E. Eddie described in his comments just below your post. That eliminates the sticker stain everywhere a sticker contacts the board. Great question! And thanks for watching “Time with T.H.E. Eddie”! ZZ Mark
