He was going to be judged different regardless. The real problem came in when he started saying stuff like Bronny is better than half the league or he could come in and make the Lakers a better team right now. Stuff like that puts pressure on the kid to have to dominate college basketball instead of being allowed to develop naturally

He publicly tweeted that Bronny is better than a lot of “cats on nba pass” then he publicly stated that Bronny can play rn for the lakers and make them better…. It’s definitely brons fault, he’s out here saying Bronny is nba ready when clearly he isn’t with 6/3/3 on 37% from the field… let him play a couple more years in college to develop his game especially after that heart attack scare but bron is tryna force people to think he’s ready…

Yep, this is all Lebron's fault. I partly feel that as a dad, he is just trying to use his influence to 'will' his son into the pros by any means necessary and any dad would do that. But it almost seems selfish of him to keep talking about Bronny this way and putting the spotlight on him.

Only by being a son of Lebron James can a kid average 5.5 pts a game, and still get drafted by the NBA...smh Its really unfair to all the other average people, trying so hard to make it.

Last time I checked you actually have to put up some impressive numbers in college in order to qualify for the NBA draft. Bronny hasn't done that yet. He's barely even played in college because of his heart condition so let's all just pump the brakes on the whole LeBron and Bronny team up. He ain't ready

This is a stupid take. What a skewed lense. People forget that the same focus or similar was on MJ's kids, and he didn't say anything like that. My point: Let the Dad love his child. What the man wants is a Dad's dream. Let him dream.

God bless the kid. I definitely didn't know anything about him playing basketball to come to the pros if not for his dad. Kid already have unwarranted expectation just being his son, just let the kid enjoy the ride and have fun with his friends.

LeBron was doing what Father's do, hype their son up. Did he go overboard? Yeah. But let's not let the media off the hook. They push this narrative of them playing together excessively even B4 the NBA season. They're the ones who was pushing the LeBron signing with another team to play with his son even though he said he was staying with the Lakers,. they're the ones who was putting out these scenarios of which teams would sign him if they drafted his son not LeBron. They're the ones even after he showed in college games he wasn't no where near ready for the NBA who kept up the narrative of he's really good despite what his numbers are showing. Now they're trying to wash their hands of it now. Maybe focus on other teams in the NBA besides segment after segment endlessly over the Lakers everyday

Thank you! No one wants to acknowledge the media's play in this. It's funny hearing SAS always Bron is passing the buck for the scrutiny sent towards his son but take no accountability not taking what Bron said as truth instead of realizing it was clearly a HYPERBOLE.

There was someone who use to be on Espn all the time and they used to say, "Don't Press Send". Lebron needs to take that advice. Somethings don't need to be out there for the world to hear, see and read. I understand hyping your son up and all that but look at the firestorm it has caused.

I think Bron should've just kept silent about Bronny. I mean yeah, it's not wrong to say that he wanted to play with Bronny coz everyone knows that's one of his plan before he retires. But the thing that he said about Bronny being better than some of players in the NBA impacted it more. I know it was more of a protecting his son from critics, but SAS is right. Bron have so much influence to people, and Bron knows that it could be transformed into more expectations and hate to his son. Bronny being the son of him is already a pressure or can we say like a burden to him as being a basketball player too coz people will have so much expectations to his son. Bron should keep silent and let his son's work to get his way in the NBA, let Bronny's work speaks for himself.
