Camels came with their Afghan handlers in the early settlement of the dry, desert interior as transport for goods. They went feral and grew in huge numbers and now they are shipped back to the Middle East for profit. Instead of camels now there is a l-o-n-g train named, ' The (Af) Ghan ' , which travels between Adelaide, through the interior, and Darwin. As well as transporting goods it also offers a three day luxurious tourist experience.

Keep up the Australian music vids, lm loving them. We have so many very talented musicians that are not well known outside Australia. Australia has lots of snow because the Great Dividing Range is so long, however we don't get great snow for skiing as they are not high enough to get powder snow. The ski slopes are generally a bit icy.

Interesting thing , the reason Americans call a boot a truck is because, in the early days of motor cars, they had no receptacle for holding luggage and the like. In America they took to tying a sea truck onto the back of the car. When manufacturers started producing cars with storage in the rear, they just continued calling it a trunk. In Australia, the practice in the early days was to use a receptacle referred to as a boot box. It became commonly referred to as a boot. Thus when storage units became more common here, they just continue to call them boots.

There is not much emphasis in this video of Australia's gorgeous forests - tropical, sub-tropical and temperate forests.

Australia exports more camels than any other country, has more skiable snow in season than switzerland, has near 14000 beaches and if it was possible to visit one beach a dsy would take you 35 years. Australia is the same size as the continental united states. Victoria gets cold and hot.

Hey Mike, Mechanic here, why don't you just take the 2-3k dollars and buy another high miler Toyota? (100-150k) I'm in Europe so maybe the USA market is diff. Putting a new engine in a 300k old car seems a little suicidal buddy - The car itself has 300k miles (suspension, interior, emissions control etc) not just it's engine. It's also got a hybrid battery which will need to be replaced at a high cost too my man. Happy to advise if you're stuck my friend. :)
