For context: This is a promotional video from Konami Animation, their first work. On the website it's stated that they will make anime based on Konami licence and others.

Solfachord is a music archetype, yeah. They're based on a musical scale (do re mi fa si la ti do). Scales start at 8 (do) while the level starts at 1 (do), then with each monster the level increases by 1 and the scales decrease by 1, until you get their level 8, scale 1 boss monster. Their spells & traps also have effects based on if you have an even, odd, or both scale on the field, which simulates musical chords. It's really cool theming wise.

Hopefully Diabellstar vs the Goblin Riders are next. The comedy, drama and action would be epic, kinda like what we saw with Cyberpunk Edgerunners.

This is so freaking amazing to see and a big step in the right direction! But I read the article on ygorganization about this project and it sadly seems to only be a demo reel that shows what they are capable of with the different animation styles. I really really hope that they realize how many people want this to become a reality so that they at least do what they've shown now, which is an anime that shows a different archetype every other episode. Then If that would be successful (and we all know it would be) we could get a full lore anime in the future. The complete Fallen of Albaz story as an Anime would be so sick. I really want to see my Swordsouls in action!

dogmatika would be sick, same with ice barrier, charmers would be great if they follow the og lore but i doubt they want to go that dark and suicide isn't probably something that they would be ok with

A new or old protagonist, sees the various archetype worlds, learn new summoning mechanics, new cards and old being used. That would be epic.

We need an albaz anime.

They sponsored Rhymestyle's reaction video (meaning nearly certainly they also got to see it before he was permitted to post it) amongst every other rumor that's beginning to swirl online. They're 110% making Yu-gi-Oh animes, it's now a matter of "when", not "if" -- and I couldn't be more excited. Whether they've truly intended to do so or just kind of happened into it by the very nature of having like 11k unique cards, Konami sits on a virtually unparalleled amount of usable original content and stories that could -- if executed at a very high level, of course -- literally move anime forward as a medium. Importantly, these are ORIGINAL stories, not painfully derivative nonsense or remakes of remakes like half of what media pursues these days. They've truly arrived at an excellent opportunity here -- a quarter of the goddamn internet seems to be have talked about this in one way or another this past week. They'd now be stupid not to use this momentum to their advantage, even in the unlikely event that they really weren't going to make any animated content on the heels of this video. Also calling it now...Fallen of Albaz is gonna be a feature length release worldwide once it's done cooking. It's pretty easily Yu-Gi-Oh's most scalable lore-based story and would connect with a fairly broad audience.

world chalice, albaz and visas are my top 3 ygo lore~! they can easily make a trilogy for each of these archetypes due to how vast their lore is~!

i hope they do make a full/mini series for each archetype or at least a movie. BUT there is 1 thing they must do to have any follow though to make it worth making (outside of giving something to the core fan base). Make the archetype they showcase a ton of new support that makes them tier 1 decks (not tier 0). (they could do a mini set with just the archetypes in the first 3 to 4 episodes) This is a great way to get people invested/interested in playing the game. If the archetypes shown are trash or just auto loss most games then that interest will vanish real quick, therefore not really making it worth the investment from konami.

From what I understand the Yugioh anime was made by a separate company. Konami was first and foremost a game company so card and video games were the only things they specialized in. Now they have an animation company so they don't need to rely on a separate company to make anime. This trailer is just a demo, but Konami is famous for other games like the Metal Gear series. So now that Konami has its own animation company it can probably make anime from its products. Of course, this is just speculation at the moment. Side note, we need Machina lore. I have always been curious about those machine cards and their story.

Let's hope they won't make it a 20 minutes advertisment for cards like they did with the ones so far. There are so many lore heavy archetypes that have huge potential for an anime adaptation , Albaz , Sky Striker and Visas to name a few.

i also agree with you, they should have made anime base of the lores of the archetypes instead of kids dueling nonsense. i have been onboard since DM era but most kids nowadays won't appreciate watching those kinds, it's gone to a point that plot deminishes and just recycles the scenes and course of action. those kinds doesn't spark interest and curiousity, konami will be having a hard time on-boarding new players using that kind of anime. ygo anime nowadays is a bunch of kids dueling cards and fainting🤣🤣🤣 it was cool then but now isn't 🤣🤣🤣
