"The Singer" is an annual Chinese TV show for highly respected singers to compete. Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6ft 3, 1/4 and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. Because of his age and the fact he was a wild card selection, he was asked to perform first. No pressure!! This was his first performance on the show and he sang in French. The audience went wild for him! When the show was broadcast on TV to approximately 600 million people he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist and just turned 26 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to Covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition with a top mark of 100%. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down for a more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. Someone might have already covered this, but: he was well known in Kazakhstan and often placed first in competitions in the Slavic countries. The Singer invited him to perform in this season 2017. He was the only non Chinese participant. The others were all already well known performers in China. This was the first night of the season and Dimash had to sing first. He did place #1 from the audience and fellow contestants. The second week he sang Opera 2, winning another first place. After the second week, he was a star in China! Bodyguards accompanied him everywhere, much to his embarrassment. He didn’t place 1st at the end of the 13/14 weeks, but second. But, in China, he was a very well known performer from that moment on. Jackie Chan invited Dimash to meet with him. After the contest, he had several concerts throughout the next three years in Kazakhstan, Russia, China, and England. Also in Brooklyn NY in December 2019. He hasn’t really cracked the American market, but just signed on with IPZ (out of New Jersey (?) as his agent. Dimash has been training his voice since he was five years old. He is a master at technique, stage presence, use of his six octaves, and every other thing that makes up a singer. Check out Unforgettable Day. Make sure it's the version he sang in Gakku. He hits a D-8 near the end. It's beyond anything you've ever heard. If you don't already know a D-8 is so high it's not even on a piano. This dude is an alien man. Peace!

I think you need to react to more of Dimash and his music. LOL.....The show he was on is called the I am Singer Show in China...he was on the show in 2017 and was 22 years old at the time. No one knew who he was not even the singers in the back room that you see. That is why when you look at their faces they are stunned. Dimash started singing when he was 5 years old with lessons and is an accomplished instrument player...piano, Dumbra ( a Kazakh instrument ) Drums, xylophone etc. He also sings in 12 different languages. Oh, Dimash is from Kazakhstan and is now 26 as of this past May. The artists that he looks up to are.....Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli and I am sure others. I hope you will continue to react to Dimash because he is just the best in the world today, there is no one like him. Sinful Passion live in Sochi. What he does at the end is pretty crazy... He's from Kazakhstan, west of China and this show is called Singer and from China. He was relatively unknown before this performance and blew up huge after it in Asia. The show is great and features a lot of great singers every season. Super good singer and he's been training in opera since he was 5. You haven't seen anything yet.

Yes, 3 1/2 years ago a 22 y/o young man from Kazakhstan sang a French song to a Chinese audience that had never heard him before, and the rest is World Musical History...SOS..an Earthling in Distress....is from the French Rock Opera....Starmania....it is a young man contemplating suicide.....Dimash was invited to France after this performance...He went... Dimash is now 26 , and has an amazing amount of work he has accomplished in this time...countless TV special appearances ...OSTs for movies, tv dramas and video games...not to mention his sold out concerts..Even at the Barkley Center in New York....His latest movie sound track is for a Mega Sci/Fi Fantasy...Since the movie could not be released...theaters all closed...Sony released Dimash's part of the sound tract plus scenes from the movie...The movie is "Creators ..The Past, and the song is "Across Endless Dimensions" You will find it on his YT channel..along with his concerts and more....
