This is Denmark's best-made Whisky. The Successful Stauning Distillery 2023
In today's video, I visited the famous Stauning Whisky Distillery on the West Coast of Denmark. It was started by 9 friends who wanted to see if they could craft an exceptional whisky using local farmers' ingredients like rye and barley in an old-fashioned and sustainable way. They are an interesting group of construction engineers, a helicopter pilot, a doctor, a chef, a butcher, and a teacher. Stauning is now known for its high-quality Rye and Single Malt Whisky.
Stauning uses floor malting and direct-fired small pot stills. They started in 2005 in the back room of a butcher shop which they rapidly outgrew and then moved to an old farmhouse. In 2019 they expanded to add modern complimentary Danish-designed buildings at the farm to create the incredible distillery they are today.
They offer several single malt whiskies, including one smoked variety that burns heather for flavor. Stauning Whisky is available on Amazon.com, and they ship internationally.

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18-year-old 4th-generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion became a reality.
