I spotted a dog in my neighborhood once that after a week I realized was lost or left. I would watch him run up to cars until he realized he didn't know the people in the cars and then he would run away. So many people stopped to try and get him the more they tried to pick him up the more fearful he became this went on for over a month. I became determined to befriend this dog and so I started leaving food out for him brining him closer and closer to the house over a couple of weeks. He stopped coming out during the day for fear of all the people that would try to catch him. I did A LOT of research and finally understood that dogs will revert back to their wild instincts when they are in separated from their pack. Meaning Rox and Anthony. Once they are in survival mode they may no longer even be trusting of their old pack. I was able over several weeks to gain this dogs curiosity and then win his trust but it took a lot of time and effort is was not an over night success story. The reason I share this is to help persuade you to use a trap close to the houses where she has been spotted. because she is so far from home she is probably going to hang out where she has access to food and water she will make a point of waiting until she knows it is safe for her to eat and if she gets spooked she will move on to the next place she deems safe. Not wanting to run to far from where she was last because she doesn't know the area. Chances of her still being within a 2 to 3 mile area of her most recent spotting and returning each hunger time to where she last ate safely are a huge key in finding her. Trapping her could possibly be her biggest chance at survival without Roxanne being there and with fear driving her it seems she couldn't even overcome it long enough to hear Roxanne calling her. If she is crate trained at home it should only take a couple of times making sure the food is in the crate located in the same area she was seen or ate last. You said yourself their are a lot of wild animals out there better to get her sooner than later. You are awesome for all of the community you have pulled together for this missing pup. I pray for your efforts to pay off in the end and for Roxanne to bring her baby home safely.

I know when she’s spotted, if you get down on your knees and get to her level, they feel safer. I happens a few times here and it does work. God Bless for trying so hard

I get this 100%. I’m not understanding why she’s sitting here making this video if her dog has been spotted I would be in that damn car so fast. Actually I would’ve never left to begin with but now that she does know the dogs been spotted. Why not go back? What the hell, this is upsetting for me😢

@@nancyfanello7425 do believe she really cares about her animals. She is obviously upset and distraught. But I’m not understanding how she ever left. I mean, waiting a day or two after this happened making arrangements so you can find your baby. Or at least go back I don’t get it.

I would be crying all the way through that video but then again I would’ve never left without looking harder for my dog and letting all her friends do it! And I don’t know why she didn’t jump in the car and go back after she heard they had spotted her!

I agree with you as soon as I heard she was spotted. I would’ve been driving right back! But then again I would’ve never left! She could’ve stayed behind and rented a car to go back home. I have been watching them from the beginning always enjoyed their video, but I was very disappointed with this wholething! I hope they find their dog very upsetting to watch this!

When my Chihuahua ran away at his sitters, I walked all over to find him. I called and called. He never came to me. He was terrified! He was at a farm a couple miles from my home. I know I walked past him many times when he hid and he never came out. He was there for a miserable 6 days. The neighbor called they spotted him. Never came out until I reached down where he was hidden and picked him up. He started his life as a rescue of mine. I rescued him from a field. He ran from everyone. I got a big fishing net and finally caught him then. After I rescued him. He never left my side. That is why he ran away, trying to find me.

I feel for you and acknowledge how stressful this is. A similar thing happened with a pet of mine on a couple of occasions, a different pet each time. Once frightened it takes time for those fear driven defenses to release, it’s a trauma response so it’s a potent reaction. I agree with comments of others to head back, stay with friends who live nearby. Take care hug Ant for comfort I pray for a quick return.

Hey sweetie my grandpa would take some personal articles of his clothing and go lay them out where his dogs where last seen. The next morning he would go check and 95 percent of the time they would be laying on his clothing waiting for him. You might want to try something like this to see if your baby will be attracted to it. Just an idea. Couldn’t stop thinking of how I could help and couldn’t stop praying.

Yeah my sister had 2 Saint Bernards and they were terrified to death of fireworks and thunderstorms they would literally break through her closet doors and lay in the floor in the closet or bust into the bathroom and lay in the tub behind the shower curtain I'm sorry your dog ran off but I would never ever take an animal around fireworks or gunfire. I hope you're able to locate your dog and get it home. Lord knows there's going to be more fireworks shot off which could keep her running! Maybe where she's hanging out they can set a trap and try to catch her?
