It's crazy when you read Tommy the Clown's wikipedia page. He went to prison at 18, was released at 23 and has never been back. The family scene is also not in color which symbolizes, to me, the longevity of their relationship. Like the old black and white pics we see of families. Their relationship is not new and fleeting, but rather something that has stood the test of time.

I saw a video that pointed out when Kendrick says “you’re not a colleague you’re a colonizer” and they scurry off. They are imitating a “cake walk” from slavery days when those enslaved would be made to dance and the winner would get a prize of cake. That snippet is gonna be so much more than people could even imagine. It’s crazy how nobody is catching it. Everyone is so focused on the Drake disses that the Jay-Z shots are going right over their heads. Jay-Z is taking heavy artillery, and Kendrick is going at him. Check the lyrics to the intro, Kendrick starts the intro with “Reincarnated” (which I think will be the title of the full track)but that’s a shot at Jay-Z for how he keeps coming back from retirement. More shots fired with the line “Woke up looking for The Barclays” Jay-Z owns a small stake of The Barclays Center. And the most obvious one when he says “IP Ownership, The Blueprint is By ME” Jay-Z has 3 albums called The Blueprint 1, 2 and 3. I’ve been trying to get this to people’s attention but I don’t seam to be getting through to anyone. Someone has to see it.

I know this isn’t euphoria but when Kendrick says “chipped by a throw away” I think that’s in reference to the “control” verse because the song was supposed to be in the hall of fame album, but Big Sean didn’t even put it out for purchase or stream. I think the like that verse was very intentional

I initially thought trafficking too when I saw the containers, but I heard someone say maybe he’s referring to the exporting of black culture. The containers were white with two African with African-American males, dancing inside in one of the scenes. But, I lean towards trafficking though bc CB1 (cell block one) is written on the containers. With Kdot it could be a double entendre

So, I was telling my husband about how this video reminds me of T.I.’s What Up, What’s Happenin’ song. It gives me the same vibes. Rolling around in your own city, showing how much love you actually have there. Idk if it was intentional… BUT when I watched it again I noticed - Kendrick was driving around in a black sports car with red and black interior, very reminiscent of how they filmed T.I. driving around in his black sports car with red and black interior.

- Dancer dancing on the tightrope with the sky background is similar to Drake's 'Nothing Was the Same' album. - The cage the owl is in looks to be shaped like a circus tent. Perhaps clown activity. - The zoom in of the caged owl looks like it's behind bars. - Kendrick does a hand gesture when he says, "...make sure you hide your sister from him." - In a comment, someone wrote the courthouse is shown at the very beginning and when Kendrick goes into the metal room, there are 12 chairs repping jurors. 1 chair is left empty, possibly represents the people (court of public opinion). At the end of the video, everyone is celebrating in front of courthouse. There's a really good breakdown YT video, "The Dark Creepy & Eerie Messages in Not Like Us" by [deleted] that talks about the meaning of the knock on the metal door at the beginning of the video.

Don't if it's been brought up. But the owl shot at the end, 1) when seen from the Owl's (Drake's) perspective the owl does not see the bars. But from Kendrick's perspective it's obvious the owl was caged the whole time. 2) as Kendrick walks away, there is complete silence, the bird make no noise, much like Drake has had nothing to say since. Just thoughts
