And so it begins, this is VERY much a series that only gets better and better with each episode, and as weird as this is, i CANNOT wait for you to get to how it FEELS to suffer, since that will show you a lot more of source spaghetti.

What actually happens about the little elevated ledge trick is that most TF2 players are conditioned to take wide turns just before rounding a corner. You never want to be hugging the wall because of the way ledges, walls, and player collision boxes all interact weird, you don't want to be caught by a heavy or Pyro as you turn the corner, try to strafe or backpedal away, only to be caught by map geometry and fail an escape.

Remember to do the extras for Demoman, Pyro, and Sniper. How it feels to Suffer is also an extra video but it’s more about his struggles in SFM than stuff he didn’t include in the Engie video. Watch it if you want, but keep that in mind.

In the strategic sense of things, a medic getting killed makes a MUCH bigger impact than a spy getting killed, so for a spy main, dying immediately after backstabbing the medic is something to be taken in stride. The medic's uber can make or break a game, so they are priority number one in a team fight.

Again, the only issue Lazy had with reaction videos in the first place are when reactors use their ENTIRE video in the reaction with no substance. Lazy prefers that reactors would do something *unique* with their reaction, such as more editing or use it in a more constructive format. I believe other higher reaction channels who reacted to Lazy (such as MHGR or Chicago reacts) interrupts and provides reviews, feedbacks or discussions and questions commentary in the middle of their reactions. Which makes them at least a little more distinctive from the original. Plus Lazy was absent from social media mostly this year, which might be why he hasn't asked to taken down any reaction videos yet. While of course, I don't speak for Lazy himself and I could've missed something. But unless there's proof that he actually confirm approval of full reactions. I still think it's safer to blur out or watermark or any sorts of editing to his videos in the bottom corner of your reaction for now.

No, the main reason Lazy didn't like reactions was because he had crippling self-confidence and anxiety issues. He hated seeing people react to his stuff because all he could see were the flaws. Since he's been going to therapy for it, he is improved dramatically and no longer seems to take much issue with reactors - hence in the past year we've been seeing reactions to his stuff.
@erika_itsumi5141
@erika_itsumi5141 Жыл бұрын
@@sniperdubey the only thing with the ledge method in the video I see, is actually more of a misunderstanding, when Lazy pauses the video saying he's disguised as the sniper and can't figure out how he got ahead of him, the simple answer is this, when he pauses the video snipers melee weapon is over his head, the animation before swinging it for a melee hit, what happened was he saw lazy, took a melee swing at him, but lazy stopped suddenly, sniper walks past an misses, the melee, to wich then lazy just backstabs him. It's actually not mysterious at all.

How it feels to play Spy was the first of Lazy Purple’s “How it Feels to Play” series, If I remember correctly the second one was for Scout. I am not 100% of the order of the videos but it went around this order: Spy, Scout, Heavy, Soldier, Engineer, Sniper, Pyro, and Demoman. Lazy Purple is yet to do the Medic video, but someone made a parody video that looks like a Lazy Purple medic video but it is not

There is a channel here, Gaijin Goomba, that has an video on Spy (it's part of their Which Ninja series). It's actually an actual technique IRL that translates well to games for stealth characters, it's English name is the "Quail Hiding technique". Gaijin goes into the details if your interested (as well as whether or not Spy could be called a true ninja or not)

@KingZolem

Fun fact that "hide by ledge" thing he is describing is an actual ninja stealth technique called the quail technique. I'm not even joking. It is literally taking advantage of certain psychological blind spots people have when conducting searches. People want to be in the open so that if the target tries to turn on them they have to break cover and become visible. People also tend to naturally check the largest areas of cover first, and tend not to think of anything that could be hidden behind while crouched until the larger options have been explored. Crouching or, in the ninja technique's case curling up into a tight ball, also lets you hide behind much smaller cover than people would believe possible meaning that their brain discards the option. Infiltration and stealth techniques are really wild to learn about and make you realize that you have a lot more blind spots than you ever thought possible.

Yay, Hope you'll be able to do the rest of them. Though personally I think you should have started with Lazy's TF2 is a Timeless Masterpiece and Tf2 is Perfect SHUT UP, no only are they as good as the rest of the How it Feels series but also there's lots of funny moments like a blooper of SoundSmith messing up a line he had or a skit. As a reminder the series order should go Spy, Scout, Soldier, Engineer, Suffering in SFM, Sniper, Sniper Extras, Pyro, Pyro Extras, Demo and most recently Demo Extras. Also i'd suggest having captions on for both the engie and sniper videos were unfortunately the original music got copy claimed and thus had to be changed even though Lazy was talking in both parts.

You probably haven't heard of Stabby because he is really old school. Like, back during the days when Muselk/STAR were KZfaq's primary TF2 content creators. He posted a few videos recently and they're worth a watch since they're just simple montages. But Stabby really was the king on the Spys years ago, and many of his notes/lessons have been passed down countless times between players about how Spy works as a class in general.

As a follow up to this one, can I recommend the TF2 Spy episode of Which Ninja from Gaijin Goombah? The title is "TF2 Spy is a Ninja, FIGHT ME! - Which Ninja" but you could probably find it by just searching "which ninja spy" It goes into a little detail for possible reasons why people ignore shorter ledges for hiding places as well as potential ways one might play as a spy. It also references Lazy's video on spy for an example.
