sadly by the time I was old enough to be able to watch wrestling ECW had already folded but I got all of the DVDs about it and tried to absorb as much as I could about the history, I even tried practicing "Air Sabu" on my stuffed polar bear using a folded up laundry hamper :D

I remember discovering ECW in the Apter mags in 1995 then got my friend in New Jersey to record a bunch of episodes and mail the VHS to me in mid-1996. I wore the shit out of that tape. Watching Rey Mysterio, Psicosis, and Juventud Guerrera before they went to WCW was awesome.

Oh no doubt about it, you are right there. KZfaq will never do the greatness of the hardcore basket cases that rocked up in ECW and its barbaric matches justice. When Heyman says "This is EXTREME" he is not lying.

I grew up in southern Indiana "the Memphis/CWA/USWA territory. Channel 5 on late nights after they would air their show, ECW would come on. I first discovered ECW as an 8 year old in the summer of 1995. I was hooked. Greatest wrestling show theme in history besides RAW with Union Underground.

Me and my family would tape trade back in the good old days we would send my cousins the RAWS and Smackdowns/PPVS and we would receive the WCW/ECW shows I miss those days and we would get more blank tapes from K-Mart or Walmart and tape the shows and send them back.

Sadly, by the time this theme became the main one in ECW, they were on the way down. The one I remember that represented the peak of ECW was White Zombie. This reminds me of TNN.

If Vince had actually gotten to steal this from Paul E and use this for his lame ass pg ecw sci fi channel opening, then it’d really would be Vince enjoying taking a liquid shit on the name itself just like he did by using an original EC F’N W venue like the Hammerstein Ballroom at the PPV sequel of his one night stand and had the originals from EC F’N W job this time to all his wrestlers. Thank God I didn’t watch it because since I am an original EC F’N W fan and ditched this along with the other fans. We were misled into thinking actual original EC F’N W was gonna be seen again in there. Once we saw the protective mats outside the ring, we were like this is lame, screw this. It got worse from there though. I also hated seeing Stone Cold leading a revolution against Bischoff. WTF made him so important? 🤦🏼‍♂️😂 seriously. Imagine what New Jack would’ve done had he taken Vince’s massive paycheck and heard how he was gonna be used? Vince would’ve shit his underwear

love this song but the NIN into White Zombie intro was better. I started watching on MSG when I was in high school. it was on sunday nights at 1 or 2am. I used to tape it, (that's right TAPE it. not dvr or watch on demand or stream it somewhere) and watch after school on Monday. At Ultimate Jeopardy 96, Sandman won the belt from Richards (who pinch hit for Raven) that's when I think the product began to decline. I thought Barely Legal was good, but overrated. All the stuff from when Douglas threw down the belt, through the summer of '96 was the best.

I remember sandman, tommy dreamer, rvd, that weird guy that looked normal. They should have continued with ecw instead of wwe wcw. Too popular and the storylines are comical over the top and rather dumb at times. I guess they considered ecw to portray somethi g that was too real thats why they went with the other two. Wwe is just like nfl football or hell even major clothing stores or merchandise brands like lays. Its rather stupid in my opinion but all free enterprise does is allow the shift from there brand to another less known brand but they really work together. Its just one person behind all of those different things out there and there probally gay.
