This is Germany. From the rough Alps to the beaches of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. With its Baroque Bavarian monasteries, beer gardens, mountain huts and the half timbered houses in its romantic towns. Majestic Gothic cathedrals, Renaissance style operas and mighty skyscrapers define this land. The Rhine river with its medieval castles are important features as well. The palaces and historical monuments give Germany its soul. The modern Autobahn, airports and economical hubs assure the strength and prosperity of this country in the heart of Europe. Germany is tradition and modernism in one; Germany is an old nation that has been shaped by its people for over a thousand years and will continue its way to a bright future in accordance to friendship, respect to its neighbors and the world. Germany is my fatherland and the country that gives me my unique identity. We’ve had dark and bright years in our history. We have risen from the ashes after every conflict and kept our place among the best nations in the world. Germany is more than a piece of land. Germany is an idea, a spirit created by generations of people. Germany is a flame, and every German is one spark and part of a greater community.

warum nur teile? auf welchen teil sollte man nicht stolz sein? kreuzzüge? man darf nicht den fehler machen geschichtliches nach heutiger moral zu beurteilen, denn wenn es danach ginge war alles irgendwie verkehrt und auch unsere jetzige zeit wird irgendwann in 300 jahren von anderen als verkorkst angesehen (nach deren moral)

True, but we lost a lot's of beauty buildings during the bombs from alliert 1944, 45 e.g. Dresden. And sure a lot's of people...6 millions and more. 1/3 parts of land. Sad, sad :(

But only 3 million of them were killed in combat, whereas 3 million German soldiers were murdered as POWs. 9,4 millions German civilians were killed during WW2 (mostly women and children). 5,7 million of them were killed by starvation and total lack of medical care 1944 - 1949 during Allied occupation. 2,8 million of them (also only women and children and very old men) were murdered by Russians, Polish and Czechs during the expulsion of German civilians from the eastern parts of Germany to steal their land and cities. 0.6 million women and children were burned alive by terror air raids on German cities full of civilians 0.3 million women and girls and old people were killed by raping and butchering during the conquest and occupation of German cities. Additionally 0.5 million ethnic Germans living outside of Germany were murdered at the end and directly after the war. Uhm....I would love to agree...but that prize clearly goes to Italy...even before the war. There are no such majestic places than Florence or Milano or Pisa or Rome....and I say that as a proud German....but thats like saying french people built the best cars.

Die unbeschreibliche Schönheit der Natur und der Architektur fasziniert mich und macht mich stolz: nicht nur auf die Deutschen, viel mehr auf den Menschen selbst! Das er zu solchen Meisterwerken fähig ist, die Jahrhunderte überdauern, ist atemberaubend! So habe ich mein Land noch nie gesehen, obwohl ich viele der Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten bereits besucht habe.

Ich liebe Deutschland. Ich habe 5 Monate in Leipzig gelebt und habe viel von Deutschland gesehen. Ich hoffe, dass mein Deutsch beßer wird. Ich möchte mit jeden Deutschen sprechen können. Meine Vorfahren waren nicht Deutsch aber ich liebe Deutschland, die Deutsche, und die deutsche Sprache. Liebe Grüße aus Texas. (Es tut mir leid, wenn mein Deutsch nicht perfekt ist. It astonishes me how much people complain about modern Germany, for a country that only reunified 30 years ago. It is doing incredibly well, especially considering what a toll some cities took during the 20th century. A massive salute to the German people, your honour and faith is still strong, and I will stand by you, no matter my land of origin!

@Groyper Stormtrooper 3 whatever way to word it you choose, everyone was correct (so far). "Lang lebe Deutschland" means "long live Germany" which accentuates the livespan of Germany, while "Hoch lebe Deutschland" accentuates its Glory and Quality. "Es lebe Deutschland" iis pretty neutral.

Mir fehlen einfach nur die Worte..ich als deutsche Staatsbürgerin habe nicht mal gewusst, dass Deutschland so viele wunderschöne Orte hat. Da kriegt man direkt Gänsehaut pur und mehr stolz auf das Land. Zwar sind meine Eltern nicht hier geboren, dafür aber ich und ich fühle mich zu diesem Land sehr verbunden. Ich fühle Deutschland als mein Vaterland und bin froh hier auf die Welt gekommen zu sein❤️🇩🇪 Liebe und Frieden an alle Länder. Ich hoffe, dass eines Tages alle Kriege oder Mächte ein Ende haben werden. #LoveAndPeace 🌍🌱🕊✌🏼❤️

Ich verstehe nicht, wie man auf ein Land "stolz" sein kann. Stolz ist erstens keine gute Eigenschaft. Und stolz kann man doch nur auf etwas sein, zu dem man selbst beigetragen hat. Was hat man dazu beigetragen, in einem Land geboren zu sein? Meiner Meinung nach nichts!

But ofc be aware, that we also have modern suburbs and industrial areas of course, which dont look so nice^^ But if you hop from one nice spot to another, you should see the beauty. Try the "Romantische Straße "(romantic street) for example, going from Würzburg to Füssen.

Thats quite a challenge...even most Germans don't speak their language properly. But the good news....most of us speak english...and as a guy who worked in a hotel....I can only say that I prefer that to broken German...that leaves you guessing what the other guy is talking about. Btw....some material that might help you are the brilliant german comedian Loriot...first of all...knowing some of his stuff will gain you friends pretty quickly...and secondly..he speaks very good and elegant german and has a good pronunciation.

It has always heen my dream since I was a child to return to my motherland of Europe and see the lands of my ancestors and the history i love so much, my families true culture traditions and heritage. I have always been too poor and now I have children who come first. I only pray it survives as true europe long enough and we can stand strong until my children are old enough to make the trip for me. Or maybe if I am lucky enough I could go with them. It makes my heart ache to see it, it is so beautiful,.

A very beautiful country, Germany. I had the honour of visiting sometime in February 2019 and I have never felt that content in any environment before. I was there for only two days and it already felt like home. Germany is probably the most sophisticated and organised country in the entire world. I learned so much about Germany in those barely 2 days of my stay. I even nurtured the idea of relocating to Germany, but that is as difficult as it is nearly impossible at this time. Who knows? Da hast du vollkommen recht. Was damals in Europa an deutscher Kultur kaputt gemacht wurde und Leute vertrieben wurden, die Jahrhunderte lang in der Tschechoslowakei, Polen, Russland gesiedelt und die Länder mit geprägt haben, ist so ein Drama. 12 Jahre. Das tausendjährige Reich hat 1000 Jahre deutscher Kultur zerstört. Die erste deutsche Universität war übrigens in Prag.

This video brings me joy and saddens me at the same time. Germany could have been even much more beautiful without all the bombings during World War 2. So many historic treasures have gone to ruins.

Not to forget all the historic cities, towns, castles, palaces and beautiful landscapes that were ripped off from Germany after ww2: Breslau, Danzig, Königsberg, Stettin etc.

Wir dürfen die Geschichte dieses Landes nie vergessen. Ich lebe selber in einem kleinen Dorf was fast tausend Jahre alt ist (wenn ich um die 75 bin), ich finde es fastzinieren das auch ein teil meiner Vorfahren ein Stück dieses Dorfes mitgeprägt hat. Es ist schade, das einiges durch Brand und Krieg verloren wurde.

Nun ja - es ist zu vermuten, dass die Steine nicht nur der puren Freude wegen den Berg hochgeschafft wurde. Es ging immer auch um Macht, Gewalt und Unterdrückung, klar auch um Schönheit - wenn man es sich leisten konnte. Schön dass diese Bauwerke noch stehen.

@@minimax9452 Das es um Macht geht ist schon klar. Ich meine aber auch in den Städten. Die Verzierungen an Fachwerken. Kleine Spielereien an den Dächern usw. Das ist so eine Eigenart von Europäern sich in der eigenen Arbeit zu verlieren. Nicht jeder. Aber wenn das der Fall ist kommen da meist erstaunliche Dinge heraus.

@@dr.ludwig Das stimmt so nicht. Die Elb-Philharmonie ist ein Gegenbeispiel. Der Stil variiert von Epoche zu Epoche, aber die Kultur wird gepflegt. Zudem legen wir hier großen Wert auf Restaurierung und Denkmalschutz. Schau dir mal Athen an ... wie verkommen das dort aussieht. Das sind Ruinen dort im Vergleich zu unseren in Stand gehaltenen Prachtbauten. Augen auf machen! Deutschland ist großartig.

Leading the European Union, leading the world’s best economy, and setting an example for us on how a country and thrive social policies and a strong free market. Your culture has always inspired me, and will continue to do so always.

They have Merkel today and muslim invasion and I do not want to be dominated by the actual germans, though I was ideally (my parents and grands before them) part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
