.The oldest historical building in Isfahan should be considered the Jame' Mosque. The current appearance of the mosque is mainly attributed to the Seljuk period, but its repairs and additions in later periods, especially during the Safavid era. Although archaeological excavations have revealed artifacts dating back to the Buyid era and the 3rd century AH. In these excavations, artifacts from the pre-Islamic era have also been found. Different parts of the Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, which was recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, have taken shape over nearly two thousand years and have been undergoing maintenance or reconstruction during these years. The most important development plans for the Jameh Mosque of Isfahan were formed during the Buyid era and subsequently during the Safavid rule.

Therefore, I wish that after I take my last breath, they bury my body in this sacred land."
