We recently had the opportunity to visit Guatemala while shooting a project for a non-profit. We got a small taste of what the country had to offer during those five days, but it would be unlike us not to make the most of the trip, and we booked an additional two weeks to spend traveling and filming as much as possible.
We visited places like Antigua, Pacaya and Acatenango Volcanoes, Lake Atitlán, and Tikal and did our best to show off Guatemala in all its glory. I'd looked into coming here in the past but never realized how world-class many of these places really are. We both wish we could have spent more time in the country as we only scratched the service, but in those two weeks we spent a couple nights sleeping next to an erupting volcano, climbing Mayan ruins, and exploring the villages and volcanoes around Atitlán.

Yes my friend. Guatemala is so beautiful, rich, unique and magical. The Malvinas belong to Argentina 🇦🇷, The Esequibo belongs to Venezuela 🇻🇪 and Belice belongs to Guatemala 🇬🇹 the Land of the great Jacobo Arbenz, Miguel Angel Asturias (Noble Literature Prize and Lenin Prize) and Kjell Eugenio Laugerud the last Guatemalan president who kept the Guatemalan currency the Quetzal paired with the French Franc, US Dollar and above the Swiss Franc. Kjell Eugenio Laugerud famous for his patriotic fight to recover the Guatemalan territory of Belice. God bless you all 🙏

So nice. Is so beautiful and rich the Kingdom of Guatemala established since 1609 and that extends from El Soconusco (today Chiapas) to part of Panama. Guatemala is 12th producer of silver in the world and 20th producer of gold besides having massive reserves of nickel, jade and so many other natural resources too bad for almost a century big multinational multi-billionaire anglosaxon corporations have been taking almost everything. Long live Juan Santamaria the heroe of Costa Rica who died in battle against the anglo pirates. The Malvinas belong to Argentina 🇦🇷, The Esequibo belongs to Venezuela 🇻🇪 and Belice belongs to Guatemala 🇬🇹. Guatemala exploited and sabotaged for almost a century but never gives up!. Amazing takes; the highlands fir woodlands, boca costa cloud forests, coastal manglar forests and jungles and white sand and black sand beaches in the Pacifico and Caribe Coasts make Guatemala as diverse and amazing as the American continent in one quick stop.

Hoy 15 de septiembre celebramos la independencia, pero más que eso, la guatemalidad; lo que nos hace sentir que pertenecemos a un lugar en el que nos identificamos y nos sentimos en casa. Este video me erizó la piel e hizo sentirme orgulloso y que a pesar de los problemas, no muere la esperanza de lograr ser lo que merecemos. Un país maravilloso y único en el mundo!

Dicen que nuestra bandera también está inspirada en la argentina y mis recuerdos más que estar ligados a la música ranchera o boleros méxicanos, lo está a la música de Leo Dan, los Iracundos, Sandro, palito Ortega, Rabito y todavía me emociona ver las retransmisiones de "Titanes en el Ring"; recordar la final de México 86 donde todos éramos argentinos, yo incluso en mis seis años... Spectacular, it's a shame that not all parts of Guatemala can take a camera without feeling "fear" of robbery and that some government tourist places do not allow "cameras or drones." But the video is spectacular, by the way, what camera do you use? and what logarithmic color did you use? the colometry fit perfectly

Thanks so much Jorge, we used a Sony a7iv and shot everything in SLog3. The color on this camera is much better than previous Sony cameras that we'd used and it way better for grading.
