@@Franklynreactplease react to their younger brother Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. Andy was so much younger than his brothers that he had a solo career. In the beginning of 1988 they announced that Andy would be joining the Bee Gees as a permanent member but sadly he passed away on March 10th 1988 just 5 days after his 30th birthday. The four together didn't get to happen.

Three brothers. Barry, in the middle, is the oldest. Robin, on the left and Maurice (pronounced Morris), is on the right. Those two are fraternal twins and 3 years younger than Barry. Their last name is Gibb. They were born in Isle of Man but grew up in Manchester, UK and Australia. They have been singing together since young children and wrote and sang songs for more than 5 decades. They have a music catalogue of more than 1,000 songs. The greatest songwriters there ever was. You need to start down the Bee Gee rabbit hole. You will be so glad you did. Thanks for a great reaction.

They were recording Nights on Broadway, the producer asked for a different filler. Untrained musicians, they acted on musical instincts, very good ones, having never heard of volce falsetto, high head voice, that was where they discovered it. Being brothers they competed, Barry was able to continue longer, unusually he was able to add vibrato as well, so he took the lead more often. After a time, he wanted to stop singing high, they said but it's working. All three bro's do lead in some of their songs. They also wrote hits and whole albums for other big names. Try an early version of Words, Jive Talking, Staying Alive, I started a Joke, Massachusetts, The first of May and For Whom the Bell Tolls.

This was song was done 46 years ago hard to believe! I have followed the Brothers Gibb for 40 years now and still love them to this day. The one in the middle is Barry he is still alive today he is 77 and his twin brothers Maurice (dark hair) died 2003 and Robin died 2012. They had another brother Andy a popular solo singer died 1988. The Gibb brothers started singing when the twins were only 6 years old, so they sang successfully for 47 years and sold over 1.2million albums plus wrote hit songs for many other singers. I was lucky enough to grow up listening to them. No one can harmonise like the Bee Gees.

They were amazing. They last recorded an album in 2001 so not as long ago as you may think. This was recorded in 1978. Barry Gibb was the reinforced falsetto, the two harmonising with him were his younger brothers, twins, Robin in white and Maurice in black. They are/were British, they lived their older childhood in Australia, came back to London and were taken on by the same recording company as the Beatles. But different manager. Eventually the went to record and live in Miami. Only the older brother, Barry remains alive now.

Welcome to the Bee Gees! welcome to Pure Talent. They've been singing and recording records since 1961. They've got a so many many songs. Barry the one in the middle is the only one left. They had a younger brother Andy Gibb who had his own solo career. He died at the age of 30 from heart failure. The brothers on either side of him are twins. Robin with the longer hair passed away in 2012 of cancer and Maurice the one with the beard, passed away in 2002 of a heart attack. Their father was a band leader, and their mother was an opera singer.

These brothers have a huge catalog. Song writing skills are genius. Harmonies unmatched. Their life story is very interesting. They started performing very young. They gained much fame in the seventies with Saturday night fever soundtrack. But please don’t judge them solely on this time frame as their music spans five decades and is varied across multiple genres. All the brothers sing well and have very unique voices. No auto tune back in those days.

--------------------- The brothers’ careers were from 1958-2000’s and they not only wrote all their own songs. They wrote hits for other artists too. And also for their younger brother (Andy Gibb) who had a great so career. Here’s my list for you to go down that rabbit hole, with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 (you just reacted to this one) How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1 Staying Alive (disco), went to #1 Night Fever (disco), went to #1 You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1 Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too. Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1 Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song. Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1 More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made! Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1 To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were. Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1 Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour. They sing in their natural voices on this song. Alone (pop): One of the songs they made late in their career. Love So Right (R&B), One of Barry’s best falsetto songs ever. Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour). Barry pours his heart out on this song and they show his wife & son on screen some while he was performing it. Lonely Days (pop). One of the first songs they wrote after they got back together when they briefly broke up in 1969 then got back together in 1970 to write this. You Win Again (pop), If you want to hear some 80’s Bee Gees, this is a good one. Went #1 in the UK Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them. One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives! All of them had been married for a while. Barry is will married to this day to Linda for over 53 years! Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country). Shows diversity! Bodyguard (R&B), Robb really shines on this song that could have been played on any R&B radio station! For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop), again, Robin shines on this one. Blue Island - live (pop). This song shows the perfect blend & harmony the brothers have. Especially if you do the acoustic one. Just the 3 of them with 2 guitars! Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop). After their brother Andy passed, they started performing this during shows in honor of him. Secret Love (pop). I love the best to this song! Barry & Robin leads. This is Where I Came in (live) (pop). From the very last CD they ever released. There is a live version out there from a tv show. That's a great one to see how they have evolved into the 2000's! The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor). This is a little long (over 12 min), but they go through about 7-9 songs in this medley with just the 3 of them around 1 mic either Barry in the guitar. If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001

This is a good selection to get you started on. They have over one thousand you can choose from, so get busy and enjoy. Barry discovered he could sing falsetto and it started from there. They could all sing in the higher range, but Barry could hold it longer. Maurice did a lot of the higher vocal bits in many of their songs, especially when they all sang together and Barry (of course) could not do the high bits at the same time. Robin had an unique sounding voice which is instantly recognizable when you listen for it - in the higher range. Maurice was the person who welded the three of them together and kept them more or less sane!

They were born on the Isle of Mann, moved to Australia as children then back to England in the late 60s. They were all truly amazing.

Sorry but I did love your reaction. This is how I like seeing young people react to the music I grew up with. There is so much beautiful music out there. Barry Manilow s' weekend in new england is a good one. Stevie wonder, Dianna Ross, Gladis Night and the pips, The commandors, Teddy Pendergrass, and many others. Check them out. You have a lot to discover.

I do admit I hop around KZfaq looking for reactions videos to certain things. The Bee Gees are one of them. Since I was raised by a Boomer Parent, I was introduced to The Bee Gees at about 9 years old. And from back then when I was a child to now at 42, Good Music is good no matter the age, race or gender.

My heart❤ goes out to Barry as he has lost all three of his brothers....twins Robin and Maurice and Andy (the baby brother). Andy was not part of the Bee Gees group per se' but was a great singer in his own right. Unfortunately, they all died way to young. 😢

The Bee Gees are from Australia , these brothers can sing. Robin and Maurice are twins to Barry. (Left and right) they made many great songs. They are inspirational even today. Good music during the day. There is also another singer from the same place. Stan Walker, please react to "I Am" by Stan. It gives me chills every time I hear it. Great reaction. 🎶🎤💛💯🔥

Oh they’re from Australia? I don’t know why, but for some reason, I had the UK in mind - it’s good to know😊. THEY CAN SING!!! I’m looking forward to reacting to more of their songs. Thank you for your comment and compliment! I’ll definitely look into “I Am” by Stan Walker

@Franklynreact so sorry, maybe I misled you, but I am not from Australia. I myself am an Indigious Native American from a tribe from Arizona. However, I enjoy their music. Stan is from New Zealand by way of Australia. ThNk you for responding.

Check out 'Stayin' Alive'...you've heard it. For samples of their normal voices, try 'How Deep Is Your Love' and 'Nights On Broadway', the first song they used their high falsettos in, but Barry (middle, older brother) comes in low and strong! 🔥Also, there's an unbelievable medley of Beatle songs they do on KZfaq. Not very long, but VERY impressive!

Please search for You Should Be Dancing Live 93. It is really the best quality version I've seen from their tour in 76 I think. It is incredible footage of BeeGees performing their great dance hit. They are joined onstage by Andy who was approx. 18, maybe a year & half b4 he exploded into stardom as big as his brothers, the first solo artist to have his first 3 singles all go to #1 on the U.S. charts. Luv the Gibbs.❤❤❤❤
