An awesome ocean. It provides rich food for human beings. At the same time, we must implement strict fishing ban to get the gift of the ocean in a long-term and sustainable way. @@user_1abc That has actually been declared for sardines (2019) at least so companies have 2 years to come up with a plan to start putting the sardines back before there will be such strict regulations placed on them as to make their fleets unprofitable and they will sit rusting. It's inherent in human nature to harvest (take) more than is sustainable. Examples of over fishing, even well managed stocks, are very common. We will always take more than we should especially as world population pushes 9 billion. On a hake trawler the preferred cod-end catch size is about 10 metric tons because that weight matches what the processing plant can handle without loss of quality in about an hour.

I love how the video shows them catching tons of smaller fish, sardine, herring, smelt whatever... then shows them processing salmon. Nice try

This video was VERY concerning. We are fishing our seas out, this is NOT normal. No wonder we have been wiped out on Earth several times over in the past. WE ARE GREEDY!!

My 4 year old daughter was saying ok that's enough! That's enough! It's too much Daddy. Even a 4 year old knows better

So what do you suggest?
@KKWW20002 жыл бұрын
Why, Based on what facts? Just because you don’t know fishing doesn’t mean it’s not normal. What’s normal for you, 1 fish, 100 fish or 1 million?
@KKWW20002 жыл бұрын
@@johndoe-cc9cw enough for what, for her hamburger? A 4 year old doesn’t know better than professionals, that’s why we have schools and universities to have kids educated.
