I think it is the rank that determines the "favored" system, that's why some streamers purposefully queue with lower ranked teammates so they're technically not "favored" to win but still won, which gives them extra % to climb!

The ranking system doesn't make sense to me tbh. I had a match where i won, but i ended up losing 4% of progression because it said "expected." I dont understand why i get punished for winning 😭 this season is just so frustrating 😤

hoshi, being favored is like team rating. if ur team rating was higher than the enemies', ur team is favored.

Is it me or this season is way more difficult to climb?

I believe favored means your rank or mmr is higher than the enemy team. you are expected to win because of that but you lost so you lose more
