We had an amazing day learning a very traditional village skill with our neighbors!!
Fermented porridge is one of George’s favorite things.. he always stops when he sees it being sold on the roadside. Now, we are learning to make it at home with our own grinding stone.
We love our neighbors and village so much.. grateful to be learning so many new things.
Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻🇰🇪

Animals that George and family own, pigs, goats, dogs, beanies, chicken, porcupine and now gunie fowls. Have I missed anything? Sounds like an animal farm. Maybe a cow will also show up one day. Sounds quite an exciting place.

Wow, this brought precious memories of my grandmother, she used to make our porridge exactly the same way, and she would go selling it to workers out there working, that was our daily drink. My grandmother lived to be 105 years old, and I really believe it had to do with the kind of food they ate, grew everything in their shambas, I miss her. Nice video ❤️🇩🇪

MeKenze🥰 what a gracious hostess you are while learning things of another culture. How wonderful to learn how to make something that your husband enjoys and loves! Your children easily “fit in” situations and circumstances that are not the norm because they watch you do it. I was taught when you are willing to learn you will always do well. Plus you always have something that you can teach others! Well done Lady MeKenze!!! I just love the ladies and their sense of humor. I am sure they will teach you any skill you want to learn from them. They seem to really enjoy their visit with you. George seems to be an old soul in a young man’s body. He blends right in with his elders! Blessings to you, the family and the ladies. 💜🥰🙏🏾🌺🙋🏾‍♀️
