Every story starts somewhere, and this is mine. When we came to #Indonesia I had no idea that this was the direction my life would go in. I'd had plans of becoming a #yogateacher in fact. But I believe things happen for a reason, and this baby Macaque came in to my life so I could find my real purpose here.
Join me as I try to help as many monkeys as I can here in Indonesia ❤️🐒❤️

This is the first time in my life I have seen someone care so much about a monkey, I saw for myself what she did, it really touched my heart, the monkey was so happy to be free from its bonds, this woman was extraordinary, she helped the monkey with a sincere and full heart. love, this is truly extraordinary, I feel so motivated to learn to appreciate animals in this world more... you have succeeded in opening my heart to appreciate the animals around me more... best wishes and full support from me, a noble-hearted woman like angel❤😍😍

Important for Everyone! THIS IS HOW IS WORKS when you see many pet monkey videos. They only show them being bathed and maybe fed and then back to their cage or leash outside / in an abandoned home so they don’t have to listen to them cry. I PROMISE you! @LaurenWoz421 absolutely. They also often experience significant abuse when the camera isn't on them to "train" them like being tied and hung by their neck and smacked with sticks. It's horrifying

Omg. I've been watching and waiting for a long time for YOU to come into my life. I live MONKEYS. There are so many channels on YT with people showing monkeys.....I use the word "showing" as these babies are NOT being raised at all. Yes, there are some humans who are genuinely giving their best to raise a baby Maqaue, beautiful as a baby, very different as they get older. I don't need to explaine all that to you, you know what I'm saying. I've been lucky to track down a couple of people who have taken time to explaine the appauling dark side to me and through hours of searching, seen quite a lot for myself. I've tried to use the information I've gained to try help humans who have baby Maqaues, only to be "bullied" by dogooders who see everything these baby monkeys are getting as absolutely wonderful, strange why they don't have a baby monkey in their own home.. Vietnam and Cambodia I've found to be the worst places for keeping Maques in captivity, unreal what these humans class as acceptable. Very SAD.. ABUSE comes in many forms. Anyway I'm sure I don't need to spoon feed you. I'm going to love following You as you make your journey through this Jungle. If I can do anything, please don't hesitate,....lj xox

Thank you for saving that precious little baby. I have no doubt that her whole troop was killed just so they could get her and take her. I watch a channel from South Africa called Vervet Monkey Foundation and the horrific things people do to mother monkeys just to leave the baby as orphans. Luckily the foundation has foster moms that they work to put the orphans with.

You may think you are a rookie but you were born to do this. It is your destiny. I cried when you talked about handing him over and how emotional you were. I can only imagine. I foster kittens and I feel the same, but I know that my purpose is their temporary home. It would be a dream of mine to care for and hold a monkey. Best of luck to you.

You did the right thing, they belong with their own kind.. these channels who take monkeys are abusive. I don’t understand why ppl think it’s ok. It’s not they basically abuse the monkey to walk on 2 legs. I seen the process and it’s heartbreaking

Just a side note; cats and monkeys get along well. I think its because cats are physically flexible, climbing trees and other structures, and are contortunists. Also, they groom themselves and others. I saw some interesting documentaries on the subject. Monkeys have also protected their cat friends.

Also, this likely isn’t where the person who had the monkey lived. They like to use broken down houses to film in to get their viewers to think they are poor and send them money. That poor baby was more than likely left there for days until the captors decided it was time to make a video.

I just happened upon your channel. Right now my main concern is for two monkeys named kaka and mitt. They are in Vietnamese and have been on a KZfaq channel. Apparently they were confiscated by the government and taken to a sanctuary and in time be released to the forest. The problem is kaka is going to be 4yrs old . he is very donkey scared and is like a human in many ways. Mitt is still a baby . both they monkeys will not make it in the forest or jungle . they will be killed for sure. They have no coping skills. Is there anyway you can find out if the sanctuary they are in is legit. I worry so much about them the are very famous and have over 880,000 viewers still the ex owner visits them and still films them. I just want to know what's really going on. Thank you

There are a bevy of abusers in Cambodia as well. The same story, over and over. Giving them countless baths, pretending to care for them, and as soon as they get done filming their "cute" little video, the baby is put back in a barren cage. Thank you for making a difference. ❤

❤ its really a toxic relationship between the people of indonesia, who seem desperate to make money, and have always seen monkeys as vermin and pests, and the people of the us and other more prosperous, stabil countries, who want monkey videos, for good or evil. Its such a huge problem on youtube, and youtube refuses to acknowledge or help. Anyways, im glad youre there to help them. They desperately need compassion and advocacy

@deborahcoliny2891 she had been there for 4 days before I found her. They gave her cows milk (which she can't digest) twice a day but no fruit or water. But given the plan was for her to stay there for years, it's safe to say she would have gotten sick and malnourished pretty quick. Plus the fact that she'd been taken from her mother (who was most likely killed) and the family unit 🤷‍♀️

Birds are kept in cages here too.. small cages 😞 I know I can't change the world. But I can help some of the animals here who need help. Because whether it's cultural or not... accepted or not... it doesn't mean it's right and should continue. But I agree that the real way forward is educating people to think differently about animals so that hopefully things can change in the future

Hiya Great question. I'll try and keep the answer concise lol. So I sold our house in 2022 and me and my daughter lived on a canal boat with the equity I made. I then sold the boat with the plan to travel and to also find a spot we loved to emigrate to. And Lombok stole our hearts. The money from the boat funded this alongside me working online. Thats it in a nutshell. If you want any more info or advice like around visa's etc you can email me 😊

I know I was shocked too. Sadly there was little evidence of any of this trash being food for the monkey and no water either in this hot climate. She will soon be vaccinated and checked over for infections by the vet in case she has contracted any virus etc from the trash

The world deserves more angels like you. Rescue and hand them over to the correct rescue and rehabilitation centres to be released back in the wild. This is unlike the many who claimed to have ‘found and rescue’ the babies and use / exploit them for KZfaq income and viewer donations in SE Asia.

All the monkeys will be handed to the sanctuary and wherever possible released back in to the wild where they should have always been. I will try to raise donations for the sanctuary as they always need financial support but no money goes through me, it goes direct to the sanctuary which is a registered foundation. ❤️

Their invasive pests in Asia just like the snake prob in Florida. I see them as rats as well with no purpose. Put that money to shelters or children etc. definitely waste of time and money.
