@@சென் serendib possibly got its name from simhaladipa as there was no time in history it was called cheran theevu by any lankan natives.. The word thaprobane was derived from thambapanni which is the name given vijaya to the island.. The word elam mentioned only 500 year after the arrival of sinhalese ancestors here and it is said that the word Eelam itself is from either sinhala or elu.. In pali sinhala becomes sihila so tamils took it as, Sihila>ila>ilam Even till recent times eelam means singalathesiyam by tamils in TN.. Where are the evidence of sinhalese invading any tamil land in any historical records..? Tamils got a long history but none of them say that oustsiers captured their land lanka..? Lankan tamils literally use the same script and the same language as TN tamils which proves the fact that that lankan tamils definitely came here after the chola invasion.. give me at least one evidence of any other nation,ethnicity calling sri lanka was an tamil island since ancient times..? It was mentioned as simhal,sihala,sīhal,sihaladeepa,simhaladeepa,ceilao etc.. even in old sinhala there are words for lanka like lakbima or lakdiva which we still use to this day.. tamils literally stole the sanskrit word lanka and made it dravidian putting dravdian sounds.. Who built all these buddhist structures here on sri lanka..? Tamils who r following hinduism? Sri lanka nvere was called eelam ever😂 Even the ezhavas comunity in kerala belives that their ancestors r sinhalese as their own peope have glorified the past works of the sinhalese.. if there is tamil history on this island its only after chola invasion and is very little.. they don't even got great structures like Jetavanaramaya or Ruwanwelisaya or parakramasamudraya in TN.. The only thing tamils did since ancient time was bullying outsiders.. now they r trying to claim everything as theirs.. just how pathetic

Btw du hattest glaube ich die Stelzenfischer erwähnt hier am Strand...Habe gestern gefilmt und bin dann zufällig dran vorbei spaziert...ist direkt ein anderer Local gekommen und meinte, ich muss Geld bezahlen für Fotos und Videos 🤣 Habe ich gesagt 'nein, da ich ja einfach nur hier lang gehe und das zufällig gesehen habe'. Später hat mir ein andere Local gesagt, dass die Fischer nie so fischen...also keiner setzt sich auf die Stelzen zum Fischen...nur halt für die Fotos fischen die dann ein bisschen. Was ein Scheiß 🤣

Use google translate Or hire a private car from a tour company. (It was $50usd per day car and driver in 2019) Thats what I did in 2019 I am going again will do the same. I won't use the public bus or tuck tuck. Don't wast time by traveling like local. Get a good tourist car from a good hotel in Colombo then go around the country for 2 or 3 weeks and come back to your hotel in Colombo. While you are out of Colombo driver will arrange the hotels for you and the driver will get accommodation at no extra cost. Quick , save and no trouble . Who us taking the video? This looks like a coming of age ceremony . These people are Indian Tamils whose ancestors were brought over by the British to work in the tea plantations. You should have learnt a couple of words in Tamil instead of thanking them in Sinhala & freeloading.

There are Tamils who don’t speak Sinhalese and Sinhalese who don’t speak Tamil but you know what bonds both of them, the bond is BOTH OF THEM ARE SRI LANKAN. No one is asking from this history, they are srilankans.. According to the historical sources, King Vijaya arrived on the island of Tambapanni (Sri Lanka) and gave rise to the Sinhalese. Before that tamil is tamil people exist in Eelam ( Srilanka)
