PLEASE READ: Just to point out one thing, for women (please confirm this for male) since they raise their hands till the shoulder level, their palms should be facing towards the qibla not ears. I used to make this mistake until I saw from many video, once you raise your hands up to shoulder level, your palm should face towards qibla/Kaba.

Please see below for common mistakes (also found in this video) due to cultural misunderstandings and try your best to perform Salah according to the sunnah ❤️ please correct me if I have made any mistakes too. There is no difference in praying Salah for men and women, Jazak’Allahu Khairun ❤️ Also, this sister has made a very beautiful and impactful video for those learning to pray but I would appreciate if you can please try your best to implement some of the advice below according to the sunnah, when praying Salah. 1. When saying Takbir (Allahu Akbar), raise your hands up to your shoulders, with your palms facing the qibla. 2. When standing you feet should not touch, as a guide I keep about a hand length space between my feet, but as there is no guide in the hadiths, you should stand as you would normally outside of prayer, and as we do not naturally stand with feet touching this way is not from the sunnah (because naturally our body needs to be balanced when standing and the feet being stuck together would cause us to fall). 3. When reciting and placing your hands on your chest, your right hand should be on top of your left hand and it should not be too high nor too low, the chest area is the part between your neck and your abdomen, as a guide place your hand in the middle of this area. Many women place their hands way up at the top of their chest, this is too high and should be lowered, and many men place their hands way below their belly button, this is incorrect. 4. When in sujood your feet should be straight with toes bent facing forward, and your heels must be touching, also making sure your elbows and forearms are not touching the ground when in sujood. When you come up from your first sujood you should as you would after sujood (as you would sit during tashahud), and when you go back down for your 2nd sujood your feet should be as I have mentioned in the beginning of this point (upright with toes pointing towards the Qibla) 5. When sitting down after sujood, for the 2nd/last rakat, your right foot should be upright with your toes bent facing towards to qibla and your left foot should be laying side ways flat on the ground (to the right side ofc).

The prophet pbuh said pray as you see me pray.... to both men and women!

“Pray as you have seen me pray.” Ahadith like Sahih Al Bukahari 631, Sahih Al Bukhari Book 78 Hadith 39 and Sahih Al Bukhari 321 show general guidance that both men and women pray in the same manner following the example of the prophet ﷺ as closely as possible because the best salah is one that resembles that of the prophet ﷺ’s the most (reference Sunan Abu Dawood 591). By striving to emulate the Prophet's actions, postures, and words in prayer, both men and women can attain a higher level of excellence in their worship. This hadith encourages Muslims to study and learn the Prophet's way of praying and seek to implement it in their own prayers, aiming to align their actions and intentions with his example.

However, as a new convert, I was also quick to identify several mistakes in this video, and am worried that many people especially new converts like me would follow these mistakes. In a good heart my dear sister I advise that you take down this video to not confuse others and take your time to do your research well before filming about prayer because prayer is a very sensitive pillar. I’m Unable To Speak The Language So If I Play A KZfaq Video Of The Prayer But Go Into The Positions When I’m Supposed To , Does It Still Count Because When I Read It Out My Book That The Masjid Gave Me I Have To Keep Opening My Eyes To Read The Next Line And I Feel Like That Interrupts The Prayer

I just wanted to say that this is a wrong way of praying! As u can go for Hadith which says that in takbir one should not touch his/her ears!

The only difference between men and women praying is when saying ‘Ameen ‘ men say it aloud whiles the women don’t but we say it within . Also when praying men are allowed to recite the surah loudly but the women are supposed to do it quietly
