this was a pretty great video. I want to play 5v5 tacs again, and I could definitely recognize some of the things youre saying about gamesense, and you explained them in good detail and clarity. What really was the kicker for me is your utility usage. I end up holding on to my util too often, and act a little more reactively than proactively, which I learned is not the way to go as controller. Very educational, subbing for more :)

As Brimstone, I usualy position in the middle of the map, so smoke can reach any site quickly, for example in Ascent, I stand at Spawn near Garden and Market....

I was hard stuck bronze while I used duelist. I used Viper one afternoon and committed as a controller main and got to silver 3 in 3 hours

2:42 I'm not sure about the duelists helping being a good thing since reyna only has a judge and doesnt have enough time to position onto your site maybe phoenix helping you would be a good decision but he is smoked off and him going out of the smoke and flashing would already take too long at this point

Agreed, I can understand thinking its a bait in the moment but hard to believe he would call it bait in post-commentary. Only thing I can think of is that the phoenix could've been pushed up a little further before the Jett smoked but with how many people were pushing, someone's definitely holding that angle. If reyna peeks she probably dies, only doing chip damage which is a huge waste of the Brim's life since he's guaranteed to die there. edit: 13:20 he calls pushing the smoke if he didn't molly "a hero play" aka high risk high reward, which is exactly what the Phoenix would've been forced to do

honestly brim might be the only fun controller to play other than harbor right now. its just such a stationary playstyle that seems really unrewarding most times. still it's a necessary pick, which sucks for 1 out of 5 people.

@@poofal1283 omen is nice for his flash, but the smoke mechanism where he needs to deploy each smoke individually breaks up the pacing of how you could play him. i think itd be cool if they made it so that you can place a smoke without closing the ui for smoke deployment. would make it a bit more fluent.

@@poofal1283 no I don't mean that. I'm aware of that option. What I don't like is how you place one smoke and are forced to reset for the second. Imagine if astra was forced out of astral form every time she places a star.

Would you ever post a breakdown of a game where you didn’t get a bunch of kills but used your util almost perfectly? It would be interesting to see a game where you don’t pop off but still get your team the win by using your abilities

Can you explain why the heaven smoke on 18:36 is a bad one? I main smokes but the only criteria i have for smoking the way i smoke is based on whether they have close flashes like pheonix/kayo. Where i'd place teh smoke further back. In my head the smoke you did on heaven seemed fine but you notified your team otherwise.

The smoke isn't deep enough. Which means they can peek from many angles. Number one criteria for a good smoke is that they need to be using the chokepoints smartly. Basically when you look at them they should look like a wall

3:11 the reyna had a judge and entrance to market wasnt smoked and he knew a few players were peeking so you would prob both die, by doing what he did he almost gauranteed a 1 for 1

a flash or him showing his presence and peppering players as a way to help wouldve made it easier for me to stay alive and also shoot ppl! he just kept his presence hidden for easy kills. PLaying for stats vs kills is the difference between ranking up imo

i mean its not like his kill was useless tho by him not peekin he let u have a 1v1/1v2 which gives you a decent chance to get a kill and if u die he has a very high chance of trading you @@Maxiedome

"this is a team game" while he is 23 7 and no one of his mates has more then 10 kill. it isnt carrying if youre just baiting your mates and only use the smokes for you to kill people. you should prevent your teammates from dieing...
