I lived in Juba for about 4 months, working on a development project implemented shortly after the civil war ended. The country was considered so dangerous for foreigners that I had to stay in a gated camp guarded by armed security personnel. Nonetheless, during the day, I drove myself back and forth to the office, went to hear local music at night a few times, and was generally tolerated if not welcomed by S. Sudanese.

I am honest!y surprised to know it's landlocked with no cooperation from it's neighbors. I hope some light shines for it's economic growth and development. Thanks.

Everything is improving slowly for example pre-independence we only had 25km of paved road in the lentire nation now there is over 1,000 and more. For a country that is only 12 years old we are making rapid progress especially since you consider the Arabs left us with nothing beforehand.

You don't know anything about South Sudan or the Dinka people. Most of the people you've shown are not Dinkas or south Sudanese. You've shown the maasai and rendile of Kenya and others. The closest you got to a South Sudanese is not a Dinka, maybe an Ethiopian from the Omo valley. Dinka tribal scars are different. It's prudent to put a little study into your subject. You mislead those who knows not, and those who knows wonder about you.

I am an 83 year old of African descent and have never heard of individuals "bleaching" their skin. The only way to do that would be by staying indoors during daylight hours, or moving into areas of the world which lack sunlight. So it is a strange notion to me and suspect that it is overstated and does not exist.

Many South Sudanese go to school in Uganda and Kenya because of security and stability reasons, the 16% are the ones are the ones who strictly study in South Sudan, but south Sudanese are very smart and many study outside the countries and come back after graduation, do to corruption it makes it hard for many to build and hospitals or schools because the generals and government leader feel like they should be the only ones doing anything and refusing others who try to build successful businesses, schools or hospitals because they want to be the only ones known to build South Sudan because they fought in the civil war

What a shame that education is regarded so poorly in this country, thus the quality of life there is unlikely to improve.
@so9487 Жыл бұрын
It is because of their prior association with North Sudan that kept them from well-deserved education. The North Sudanese would rather warship Islam and fight wars against their own people than invest in education to better the lives of their citizens.
@lt2760 Жыл бұрын
The education now is actually better than before so I disagree with your comment, life expectancy is also improving year by year. Everything is improving slowly for example pre-independence we only had 25km of paved road in the lentire nation now there is over 1,000 and more. For a country that is only 12 years old we are making rapid progress especially since you consider the Arabs left us with nothing beforehand.

I’ll bet they are wayyyyy happier than Americans though.
... and... "How Long have these Africans been around for"? Answer:..."Before you and your people were ever a thought in Creation"...!!! These Sudanese have been around before Caucasians were made, and will be around indefinitely. ..."The Alpha and The Omega"... The Ones with No beginning and No end...So It Shall Be!
@JonathanGillies Жыл бұрын
God is the only eternal Alpha and Omega. All men are descended from Noah's three sons. Europeans are descended from Japheth, Asians are descended from Shem, and Africans are descended from Ham!!!

First of all i see that most of this contect you did based on Google. You didnt mention Nuer tribe second largest, you didnt mention Juba at all, you spoke little of Shilluk kingdom. I lived in SS for three years. I learned most of the local languages. South Sudanese people are most resilient people i have ever meet. According to some locals "markings" was not their tradition, it is implemented by colonizator UK actually so they can divide tribes. Sorry sir but this video is complete messing facts from Google.
