Rear shocks wouldn’t be so bad putting on. But those front forks I wouldn’t tackle. Great video and can’t wait to hear how they ride.

Yep, you're not wrong about the rears - it's 4 bolts... but I really don't want to deal with it... so, let the shop handle it. Stay tuned... you'll hear all about it soon :D

Congrats to you.. Your bike and body will thank you.. Those silver things are pus bushing and the small springs are called Top Out springs. You will enjoy having them.

That should be really cool. I feel for now the suspension is not bad, but I haven't ridden a bike with aftermarket suspension, so I guess I just don't know any better. Don't want to fork over the money either, like you said.

Yeah, they're adjustable... but according to Suspension Technologies, the preload is set up for the individual rider before they get shipped out! I hope you're in the next round, but AFAIK, ST doesn't make bouncers for Hondas :(

@@RoadReality exactly!! The front suspension is what I need anyway, for the “spirited” rides! I’ve leaned the bike so far that I’ve “skateboarded” along the road a couple of times. I’ve been told that if I want to ride this bike like a sportbike, I should upgrade that front… but $$$$

@@Motoramblings Dang man, let off a little. Are you positioning your body to the inside of the corner already, and THEN leaning so far? That's what I do to keep the bike's lean angle from going too far :D And yeah, suspension ain't cheap, no matter WHO you go with!

@@Motoramblings Oh, see, I learned years ago that putting my chin over my inside hand, and even further than that, or shifting one-half cheek to the inside, and even pointing my chest at the inside of the corner, were all good ways to shift weight to the inside, which allows you to corner faster without leaning the bike as far. Might be something to try next time you're out?

Congratulations, I have changed rear shocks on one bike. It was a 2003 VTX1800R. The stock shocks were terrible. I put a set of progressive shocks on it. They were a big improvement. They were the 412 shocks. They worked well and were only $260 for the pair. There were not many choices for the shocks on the Honda. I was satified with the stock front suspension. I look forward to your review of yours.

And here comes the “advocate”, me, and says why when you pay roughly $30000 for a bike you need to upgrade this that etc??? That’s why I bought a German made Cadillac that can go ANYWHERE in the world according to one’s skills of course… Good stuff John. Hope the price is better than the higher end suspension out there…

Yep, I agree - for the price of a Harley, the suspension should be good out of the box, but it's not. The price for the ST setup is around $1,700 for front & rear... and I can't compare to higher-priced stuff, but we'll see how I feel about these, soon enough :D
