55 percent of Himalayas is in India. POK and Aksai Chin occupied by PK (since 1947) and CN(secretly since 1950s and openly since 1962) respectively. those included India has got 73% of Himalayas. other name of India is Hindustan or land of Hindus. it became so because it was a land between Himalayas and Indu Sagar or Indian Ocean. Himalayas is word of Sanskrit which is mother of most Indian languages.

0:27 Nepal was part of India for thousands of years. in ancient times the whole subcontinent and part of Tibet were India. that's why it is called Indian subcontinent. it was not like everything under one ruler but it was one culture one civilization. most of the subcontinent was Hindu then. after that many invasions and force conversions happened. some parts of subcontinent became occupied while others were free and different countries emerged. then came British, wrote distorted history and made people more separate.

This temple is known as Hidimba temple . Hidimba was the wife of Bhim the second brother of the Pandavas . The Pandavas are the five brothers mentioned in Mahabharata the biggest Epic of the world . Bhim was the strongest man on earth in his time. They were being sent to exile unfairly by Kouravas who wanted to ascend the throne of Ayodhya headed by Duryodhon. They were 100 brothers and one sister. Bhim got married to Hidimba while in Exile and she was from the Rakshas family. It is said that Hidimba wanted Bhim seeing his stature so she changed herself as a beautiful woman and seduced Bhim . Bhim ultimately got seduced and married Hidimba.

During navratri (a hindu festival),people of Manali worship hidimba Devi.
