Hi hi! This is a long time coming. I started this back in August 2021 (even before my kaeya video) and it's been sitting halfway done and fully planned for a long time. This was where I learned majority of the editing skills I showed in Runaway animatic; and just like that one, this is also another immense labor of love for Alver/Alberu and the people and races hidden away by circumstance in the story. I love Cale and the main gang, dont get me wrong, I just think there are also many stories possible to tell from LCF that doesnt focus so much on Cale's tendency to be self sacrificial and his family being worried over it.
Do note the second half isnt Canon and a lot of parts are very loose interpretations. I tried to tie it well to details but I have only read up to chapter 650 of the novel so I don't actually have everything but I wanted to weave the video narrative in a way that would hit the biggest impact. I love these characters and the long standing hope they have to no longer have to hide and that's what I wanted to focus on.
This is practically animated fanfiction of what I wish would happen visualized by the end. A lot of details in this animatic is artistic liberty, some with great intent (other dark elves in Tasha's awarding ceremony despite it being only her afaik in the novel) some with looser intent (timeline of how old is ye old crown prince to when Mary first became a necromancer as a child) and some just straight up lemme make stuff up xD. I based the designs somewhat from the webtoons as they're official designs but also changed some things as I saw it in my head when I read the novel (i just like the novel a lot ok yvy) (i will stand lonesome on keeping ye old choi han looking like a late teen your old)(also alberu with a bunny mask in around endable times)
Besides that, I hope you enjoy this!! I'd love to hear any thoughts and details you noticed or interpretations of the animation. I get delighted seeing everyone's reactions to my work and hopefully one day I can stream/make a long form thing where I can nerd out and talk about all the little things and choices i made along the way and the growth that i felt as I trudged to finish during the 22 months.
