La Condesa and Roma Norte are among Mexico City's most charming neighborhoods. Here you find a lot of parks, historical constructions, nice cafes and restaurants. And in Juarez are 2 of the most sought-after places for Instagram pictures in CDMX: the Wings of Mexico and the Angel of Independence.
After starting with chilaquiles, a typical Mexican breakfast sandwich, we spent the whole day walking from La Condesa to Juarez via Roma Norte in hopes of burning some calories.

► WHO AM I?
I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉

Did you catch it? 🤣😂😆 Gordon mispronounced the name of the cheese and only now we realized it 😆. At 2:06, it's "cotija" cheese, named after the town of Cotija, in Michoacán. Sorry!!!!! Missed any episode so far? Watch this series from the beginning: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ocqeZZmVmpetk4U.html 😊

Great video. Was there last month and stayed in Roma Norte. I enjoyed every second of my stay. Walked all over as you did and recognized many of the places in your video. Street food is amazing and so much variety. Such a rich history with beautiful architecture, great cuisine and art. I was also amazed by the amount of green spaces. The only negative was that my time went too fast. I definitely want to return again. Maybe not on September 19th. Lol.

I lived in Mexico City because of my work - despite so many people the city is so extremely liveable in comparison to london (where I spent most of my adult life). There are so many museums, art galleries, events, many green spaces, parks. I highly recommend Mexico City … I lived in Madrid - as well but Mexico City is my favourite place to live. If I could I would move back to Mexico City in a heartbeat. I think many people visiting Mexico City are surprised how green it is… wide avenues, liveable accommodation.

Nice again, Renata! You traveled for three of the most visited and tourist-oriented neighborghoods in CDMX, and yet you managed to make a really different video. The thing you have for breakfast wast not pure chilaquiles, it was a torta de chilaquiles (chilaquiles sandwich). Chilaquiles is only the fried tortilla with sauce an cheese, onion and cream on top, an may be with other protein topping like fried egg, chicken or beef. I glad you guys enjoyed the experience. Looking forward for your next videos. Saludos!

17:20 OMG! brings back memories from my last trip some 5 years ago.....what a treat! The moment I went into that panaderia place I thought I had died and gone to heaven right there and then 🤣......The variety of traditional mexican sweet breads is just incomparable! Panaderias like these inspired the original owners of the giant Bimbo corporation back in the early 1900's who now sell and export sweet bread all over the world, .....obviously the traditional, small business quality of bread is by far the best.......The conchas there where like the size of birthday cakes! @@RenataPereiraTV I like Santa Maria La Ribera a lot: visit the Biblioteca Vasconcelos and, of course, the Kiosco Morisco in the center of the Alameda. Although San Angel can get very touristy on the weekends, Templo y Ex-Convento del Carmen is fantastic, especially the mummies in the basement area. Also, the Parroquia San Jacinto and its plaza are serene and very beautiful on a weekday. Finally, La Plaza de los Arcángeles is well worth searching-out. Santa Fe and Parque La Mexicana are worth a trip because they show a completely different side of CDMX. I could go on and on: its such a big, interesting city!

5:07 that oval was for horse racing not cars, this section of La Condesa used to be a big estate for a rich woman back in the 1700s, Mexico was still part of Spain, The Countess of Miravalle, and that oval was her private horse racecourse, so when the estate was taken by the State and urbanized they decided to keep the oval and named that section Hipódromo Condesa. But the estate was bigger, included Roma and Tacubaya as well.

Renata, Chilaquiles is not a sandwich . The dish is: the corn chips with sauce (red or green), meat (usually chicken), cream and cotija cheese. In cdmx you can find some outdoor places that serve it on French bread so people can it eat on the go, and that is called torta de quilaquiles. They also do similar things with tamales, they put it on French bread and call it guajolota.
