you glowstone gauntlet has glistening and a recomb... i believe the are equal in fortune and handwarmers actually have mining speed

they are not equal, glowstone gauntlet gives 1 or 2.4 more fortune depending on whether or not it's starred. unless the mining speed is enough to break a new tick threshold, glowstone gauntlet is better than gloves in terms of raw mining stats, although the cold res is better in the tunnels

Higher average mining speed in Mineshaft probably better than a tiny fortune advantage, so worth getting

@@tmarioc7922 actually, for most endgame players a difference of 20 mining speed will make literally zero difference because the time it takes to break a block can only go up and down by entire ticks, so having, say, 8020 mining speed will actually be exactly the same as 8000 in every case. mining fortune, in contrast, will always increase the amount of ores you mine on average, even if you increase your fortune by just 0.1

I have no idea why they thought asking for plates for the first chisel upgrade was a good idea. The fact that it's locked behind a maxed collection is insane considering there are two upgrades after that and that the next one is locked behind like 100k glacite, that's nothing.

@@artezac The update in itself is good. We didn't ask for it and mining didn't really *need* an update, and it's not complete, but it's nice to have, and they've already tuned it a bit with mineshaft rates, so they could still (and should tbh) work on a few of these recipes.

You can use the tungsten keychain on a 2nd drill to be able to reduce cold in mineshafts without sacrificing the omelette

yeah in my opinion the 1m collection unlock being plates is a bit much id like them to change the plate unlock to 500k of each would be better i think

Bonjour Zach, if you find the fossils now they give 20000 glacite powder each. 20000x9 means 180000 which is definitely worth it time wise. Just letting you know
