Cycle 46 of the New Mexico National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy took place in Roswell, NM from January 2024 - June 2024. Over 100 Cadets Accepted the ChalleNGe for Cycle 46 but only 62 made it all the way to the end of one of New Mexico's Finest and Toughest Leadership Programs. Through perseverance, hard work, comradery, long days in class, miles long marches, PT every day and being away from home for 22 weeks Cycle 46 completed their Residential Phase. Congratulations Cycle 46. CHALLENGE!!
The New Mexico National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy (located in Roswell, New Mexico) is a free 17 ½ month program that starts with a demanding 22-week quasi-military residential phase in which cadets will live in the NMYCA Barracks located on our campus in Roswell, NM and attend school. This is followed by a year of mentoring support to help our graduates maintain positive lifestyles.
