Ah, the first COD game I ever played as a child. To this day, I believe that this game has both the best soundtrack and best gameplay in the COD franchise.

This was my favorite game in high school. I can believe why I wasted so much time on this game. The ACR / MP7 meta was hard in this game, but I still loved it.

I miss those days when I could play this game for 2-3 days straight without sleep and still have good grades in school.

this is literally what cod should have remained. look how minimalistic things were, but also still complex for the competitive scene when it came to mastering certain spawns etc. the close combat and the overall layout of the entire game, in game and in lobbies…. it was actually fun. i quit cod after advanced warfare and played a good bit of cold war, just never been the same since.

MW3 was my first COD and I still love it. The survival mode is my favorite COD gameplay to this day. I would really like to see a remake of it in the same vain as the MW1 remake.

I began playing cod with MW2 in 2009 and will always love it and BO1 immediately after but MW3 was the game I played almost 10 hours a day while beign a college student. Long nights with the boys and beign recently broken up with. MW3 will always be my fucking absolutely favorite cod of all time.

Something not often mentioned is the CoD Elite from MW3. It was something really special creating and managing the own clan. There was even an App so you was able to track down all the last games, who shot you etc. and what did your teammates and clan mates. This really pushed the community gaming forward, but sadly lastet just till the release of BO2. Who remembers sending an application letter to a MW3 Clan on Elite 😅?

Imagine if MWIII released and everyone started uploading this instead, it would be amazing Another thing these older CODs do well which I don't many people don't realize is that you're forced to use an SMG like it is supposed to, in close range, making you make decisions to take or not certain gun fights and traverse the map differently. The main disadvantage of gunsmith in modern CODs is that any weapon can be a laser beam and sure that can be fun for warzone but it doesn't work in multiplayer. I have similar feelings towards tactical sprint, I think it works in warzone, but not in multiplayer. They tried to make the game slower in MWII but fail to realize that tactical sprint is one of the main culprits of the fast gameplay MW19 introduced - so clueless of the games they're making. In older CODs if you want to run faster you switch to a lighter weapon, usually your pistol, advantage: you're faster and can rush, disadvantage: you have a weaker weapon if you're caught - simple and balanced, no need to change it. I don't think modern COD will improve for a while if they don't figure these things out, this is just one aspect of many but oh well, they first have to actually care about 6v6 multiplayer for that.

1:40 there was blast shield to reduce grenade damage and stun/flash duration. Grenades in MW3 did less damage than the grenades in black ops 2

I love the FAD so much in this game. Has a very high magazine capacity with extended mags, 1000 RPM and basically the most consistent ttk since range doesn't matter for this gun.

This was the first CoD I bought. Though I played MW2 and black ops first. But my first but I completely played the hell out of it. Will never forget when footsteps changed my world

One of my favorite things about the real MW3 that I forgot about was the specialists perks you could use instead of killstreaks. Those paired with my beloved MP7, was always a blast. especially in those good old 2v2, 3v3 game modes I loved so much.

Mu uncle had MW2 installed on his PC, was my first ever COD. Gotta say the 2009-2013 CODs was in my life for almost half my age

I absolutely LOVE this game. Probably have the most playtime in MW3. Started on COD2, but MW3 was the first COD I got DLC for and played it a ridiculous amount of it including a lot of full party SnD. MW2 and BO1 are the goat for sure. I miss the days of COD being actual COD instead of games with slow mechanics and only focusing on ridiculously dumb skins and battle passes. They dumbed down all progression systems so much that there is no real incentive to grind either.

Haven't see the whole video yet but pro tip: Flak Jacket in MW3 is Blast Shield and it takes over the tactical grenade slot. Also affects your HUD though, kinda annoying.
