I think he’s a really good 2 guard off the bench. But I rather Kyshawn George from (Miami) who could of started and we missed out on Kel’el Ware from (Indiana) who would be the perfect starting C but good pick up for a back up 2.

This is a lucky pick at 19. Feels like a GTJ replacement for sure with better projections defensively and higher upside. I've always kind of been team let Gary walk but especially now I wouldn't be opposed to letting both Bruce and Gary walk to clear up cap space to go after a young defensive-minded RFA wing like Isaac Okoro or Patrick Williams.

@@Cbrunning849 I agree and luckily more level headed folks than me are paid to make these decisions. I just feel like we’re not getting any real draft capital for Bruce unless we can pull off a high 2nd. Feel the same way about Gary whose shooting alone is not worth the $20 mil-ish he’ll get on the open market. We also now have 3 young SGs in Dick, Agbaji and Walter. I know the Raptors have a terrible free agency record but as a fan it feels to me like the most entertaining option.

@@chrisdonovan9781 I guess but that could ruin the entire team. Letting still pretty young guys walk cause we don't want to pay them while we struggle to get free agents to come here anyway, could result in people leaving because we're busy chasing young guys who are still unproven while taking on the risk of their teams matching the offer anyway unless we plan on really overpaying these kind of guys that are still question marks and might not even end up being better then the guys we let walk. These are moves you make in 2k not in real life with real consequences.

Kolek or Furphy...too bad couldn't have both of the players I've mentioned. Kolek could at least play this season, while Furphy can develop due to his age. Walter has too many red flags. The Raps blew the 19th.

I was glad when I heard Edey’s name before we picked. I didn’t what Edey at all. Don’t be shocked if he has all type’s of issues defensively in the NBA. The questions with Edey’s game isn’t necessarily offensively. One of the questions is can he guard in open space while being slow footed. He doesn’t have the defensive IQ as other slow players like Jokic. If he can’t guard at the NBA level he will be unplayable in the 4th because teams will kill him with pick and rolls. JV was considered slow and he’s faster than Edey.

Not an expert but how will all this fit in to the current roster and rotation? Raptors already have enough potential scorer. We need a real playmaker. Scottie has so much more potential as a SF/PF. In this past season he was driving the ball up like a PG which really limits our short range.

Take Gary’s $ and give it to Tyus Jones 4 years $61 Mill. 15,15,15,16 with year 4 team option. Look down that PG with IQ extension. Keep JFL or DJ Carton as third PG.

can get a center next year. go look up khaman maluach in 2025 draft, mobile big that can block, defend, shoot the 3 and ball handle and pass.

JKW reminds me of DeMar DeRozan at draft time, with a better 3 pt shot. No defense, pull up shooter, can slash downhill but isn't pretty, can't create his own shot, and has no handle. Bye GTJ Raps MUST take Kolek with the 31st - he fits perfectly into the coaches system of drive and kick, has great numbers, and can play immediately. Raps need a ballhandler off the bench.

The Raps selected the best player available. Hopefully they do the same at #31 if they keep the pick. Ja'Kobe Walter is 6'4.25 barefoot. So 6'5 in shoes. I feel like it was a wasted pick. There were, and are decent centers available. Poeltl is mediocre and we are spending all of our money on just bringing back players that lead us to a sub 500 season last year. Filipowski would be somewhat of a redemption. Hope Walter suprises but so far, seems like a wasted pick.

@@S7ayMeloTrent could be gone. Walter is likely a back up plan if they have to start Gradey and use him as the back up to Gradey. I don’t think some of you realize Trent is a free agent and can easily walk.

@@mikeyjames I realize but I also wanted to blow the team up when prior to acquiring Jakob and being mediocre for more years before finally making the decision, Jakob and our center depth is our biggest issue hopefully we can solve that in the draft rather then trading any other assets away for someone else
