Skylar Spence, formerly known as Saint Pepsi, is the electronic music project of American musician, producer and vocalist Ryan DeRobertis. The project began in December 2012 and, as Saint Pepsi, he released his most critically acclaimed album, Hit Vibes, in May 2013.
DeRobertis has been described as "future funk", "vaporwave", "disco pop", "future pop", "liquid disco", "slow jam", and "gibber boogie", though the project crosses borders between traditional music genres. He is quoted as saying, "I’m drawn to tuneful melodies; complex chord structures; outlandish synths and drums; and I like to take pop a cappellas and see how I can warp the songs while keeping the melodies almost entirely intact… I want to make pop music for freaks, basically."

If you are feeling Saint Pepsi, you would have loved listening to KISS (NY) and WBLS (NY) on the weekends. 1980s DJs Boyd Jarvis, Shep Petitbone, Timmy Regisford, Tony Humphries, Merlin Bobb.... Pepsi took that music, added the blend/mix tape feel (Grandmaster Vic) and there you are. Very cool!

Pepsi wasn't too happy with him and his name. He was forced to change it for legal reasons, but he did release another album under SP a few years ago.
